I would find a way to make the 3rd Baseman pay for that Jr High stunt!

Our bullpen is fricking pathetic

Gonna be fun losing in a regional with this bullpen

Our bullpen has been lacking this weekend.

Everyone on the pitching staff seemingly has issues with letting a fastball hang when they already have 2 strikes. I hate it

God awful day. We should have swept Vandy

I can’t help but feel like we would’ve won if those were 9 inning games.
No doubt about it though, the bullpen lost us this series. frickin sucks.

That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen in college baseball. Screw our bullpen. Screw whoever decided it was a good idea to steal third with one out. Absolutely fricking retarded

We are OK. We still have some things to clean up obviously enough. We could certainly play a lot smarter at times. Despite putting together some big innings, we still seemed to not get nearly all we should have. We also gotta find a way to hold a lead. Just gotta keep battling, hitting the baseball and get back home. This was a week with a four games against very good competition and none of them at home.

Bullpen has to find 2 or 3 guys that can get the job done outside of Caracci. I dont put too much of the blame on Austin Miller today because he just gave up that one hit right down the line. It happens.
I think we need to just completely sit out Woolfolk and Stokes in SEC play and give guys like Miller, Cioffi, Greene and Fowler important SEC innings. Ethridge is decent, but only for about one inning in SEC play. Caracci is still good, but he just looks fatigued. Velocity is definitely down for him. Our SP is looking good except for MacArthur is consistently inconsistent.
Our hitting is the only thing keeping us in ball games right now. We are pretty deadly throughout the lineup. I think we need to swap Dillard and Keenan in the lineup though. Keenan is a stud and Dillard is a little inconsistent for the 4 hole imo. Overall, Im very pleased with our hitting. Guys like Golsan are starting to pick it up some and thats gonna help a ton.
It just seems like our team doesnt do some small things correctly. Not sure whether to blame it on coaching or the athletes. Things such as that steal at third, the hidden ball trick, small drops throughout the infield, passed balls and wild pitches, and some other small things that add up. These are the things that frustrate me the most.
Three months ago, If you would have told me that we would be 8-7 in the SEC with the overall record we have, I would have been stoked, but the past two weeks have worried me about our team. Hopefully its a wake up call for the coaches and players.

I don't want to see Woolfolk or Stokes pitch again unless we are up 20-0

It sure is hard to bitch about what this team has done and where they are. Those two today, however, were tough to swallow coupled with that last State game last weekend. But then there are two blowouts sandwiched in between over USM and Vandy.
Basically not having either Woolfolk or Stokes viable weekend options is very disappointing. They are quite the enigma. I'm sure nobody hates it more than they do. Unless it's Bianco. Thank God for Carracci, but when his velocity is down hitters are able to fight and battle more until they finally get one they can handle even if it's just a ground ball that should have been handled.
That said, just one pretty good play on that ball and we all feel drastically different tonight. Again, that crap happens, but there's the narrowest of margins between the top 8 teams and say the rest of the best.
The next two weekends at home are most crucial to the overall complexion of the season.

Thank God it looks like we're avoiding the RPI bomb that could be losing to Arkansas State. 5-1 B2
ETA: Two 2 run showers to make it 7-1 going into B3. Their starter is out, and the reliever gave up the second bomb
In B4, Olenek hit a ball off his foot and left the game (after getting to 3rd, right before a wild pitch would've let him essentially walk home womp womp). 9-1 T5
Win 10-3!

Good job taking care of business at home after a long road stretch. We live to fight another day, comrades!

We’re moving Houston Roth to the set up role.
