Someone get Caracci a $1000 handshake quick. That kid is a stud.

I’m not sure we’ve had a boring game against quality competition. I’m ecstatic that we’ve been winning, but every game is full of drama and excitement it seems. I love it! Beautiful day at Swayze, especially with the showers in the outfield

Stokes did not get a few calls from the ump on the corner that he deserved, but that was incidental - he's leaving the ball up in t-ball position too often

Jesus Christ dude Arkansas can hit I wished you would have calmed tf down during the game. This is not the year to call ballgame before the 7th inning is over, I can tell you that

Unreal game. They’re a good club.

quote:I’m a little concerned, his fastball was sitting around 93 today so he could be fatigued. I’m not sure what his very first pitch was clocked at, but it looked like a rocket.
I’m loving these wins but are we not concerned about his arm? He’s thrown alotta innings the last 5-6 games.
He shouldn’t even warm up at Memphis this week. Kid needs a rest lol

93-94 pretty sure. If there’s a better offense in the country please somebody show me. Them mofos could fricking rake. Didn’t feel safe with that 8-2 score.

I would say they are even better than Oregon State at the plate. When you can't feel confident about an out from any hitter under any circumstance, you have a heck of a lineup. Luckily, ours isn't too far off

I'm ecstatic to get a series win, I don't care how it came. That is the best or second best hitting team we will see all season long.
We definitely don't need to pitch Caracci again for a few days though.

Wow, that was a great series. In all honesty not a lot of terrible things we can say about either team. This was a series you throw out records, pitching stats and whatever else, and let two top ranked (as of now) teams slug it out. Some boys on both teams turned into men, and neither side would say I quit. One of the most entertaining series in quite a while.

I hope we don’t see this crew again. They were consistently inconsistent on their calls all series long. Two pitches back to back in the exact same spot today resulted in two different calls.

Might be the best team we play all year besides postseason. I'm still not sold on Vandy or Auburn. Hell of a week though.

I agree. I wouldn’t have cared if we were up 15, I still wouldn’t have felt comfortable. Not taking anything away from our team, but they have a full lineup and a couple on the bench to make you stay humble. And that goes to show some more about us. No one quit or put their head down. They put on their big boy panties and played ball.

What a friggin crowd today.

Fun day out at swayze. Weather was perfect and crowd was into it. My kid ate several snowcones while I tried to keep from getting my throat parched

i have a couple of questions? Is alcohol legal to have in left field. I was under the impression it was only allowed in right field.
The 2nd question. Exactly how many chairs are you allowed to put out prior to the game? It seems to me you should have to purchase a ticket for each chair in order to place it and you should be required to stay with your chairs.
I guess it's nice if you live in Oxford and want to put your chairs out and space them generously prior to the game, but it seems a little unfair when you leave them unattended and go home and cut the yard and grab some lunch before returning to claim your seats.
Is there an official policy for seating in left field? Because right now it's starting to look like when the Grove was filling up with tents. Can I pay someone to set up my chairs the night before?

I do not know the answers to those questions.
I do know that we will have a top 3 ranking on Monday.
I suspect we'll be the #3 National Seed in D1Baseball's Field of 64 Projection.
