We don't necessarily know the details of this. He might have known it was coming, but kept his meeting with the recruit. Which is what he should have done.

The guy has been a dog shite coach and I've hated him as our coach. But he is a good man who genuinely cares about the kids he coaches and recruits. I wish no ill will towards the guy and hope he finds success

Meh. This isn’t unique to us, this happens at every school every time a firing goes down. There may be collateral damage, but it’s worth getting Luke the hell outta there. And mother of God I’m happy State won the Egg Bowl, which helps further dig in Moorhead and almost certainly expedited Luke’s departure.
Couldn’t have played out any better.

Not a chance in hell. If Carter has the balls to step into AD and immediately spring into action to begin rectifying this, there’s no way he’s wasting his moment on some BS hire like that.
I said it when he was promoted and I’ll say it again - I believe he has the balls to do whatever it takes to make us competitive. He’s going to prove a lot of detractors wrong IMO.
