Would be shocked if its not close to 50k.
Where are the ticket sales to get you to 50k? Will someone please at least share the logic that you are working with.
30k season tickets sold
3-5k Arkansas tickets
Where are the other 15-20k tickets coming from?

I don't see how people think we get 40k this weekend. I don't see of the 30k we got sold people show up..

I’m not 100% on this, but I was at Ole Miss vs Arkansas two years ago and attendance, to the best of my memory, was like 35K? There was some bad wind chill that day (my dumbass read the wrong forecast before heading to Oxford and didn’t bring a coat).

Announced attendance was 47k.. Probably means there was about 42k people there.

45 is probably the max that was in there

Not a bad crowd. Still hot as hell, many still looking for a reason to bail on the team and a shitty Arkansas in town. All in all pretty good. Certainly better than a couple of these idiots on here predicted. We are going to still get smoked some this season, but this team might be 3-1 here in a couple weeks and still has a shot to make a bowl. Just like I've said for days, we'll see.

I agree but our offensive line needs to get better in a hurry or you’re also correct in us getting smoked

Think we blew that chance last weekend. I don't see us being able to get to 3 SEC wins.

Vandy and maybe Mizzou? That’s it unless we can surprise State or A&M

The people all around us left at the half which annoyed me... wish our fans were more committed when we are winning like tonight

Yeah I actually told my wife looks like about 45k before the game started.
They do a great job though if making the games "fun". I mean that first half was long as hell, but the sing along, the lights, and all the little added things made it a nice game. My 8 year old enjoyed himself. Didn't mention Fortnite once.

A couple of notes..
Attendance:
The student section was surprisingly pretty full. Not the fullest I’ve ever seen it, but i was satisfied with the turnout. Unfortunately a lot of people left at halftime but a few thousand stayed the whole game, thankfully.
Party decks were pretty lame and don’t look anything like what was shown when they were announced.
At kickoff there were several thousand empty seats. S1 was pretty thin, S10 & S11 looked like no mans land. Though to be fair, 10/11 are mostly empty 80% of the games I can remember.
Both the home and visitor sides had a fair bit of no shows, though I think that can be boiled down to it being an expected snooze fest between the two worst teams in conference (though Tennessee looks like they want a shot at that title), and the fact that it was still above 90 at kickoff.
Play:
Overall I’m sort of content with this defense. It’s not great by any means, but it’s nothing like what we’ve had the last couple of years. It seems to be trending in the right direction although only time will tell. There’s no way we stop the Alabama’s, LSU’s and Auburn’s of the world but if we can continue playing this pretty solid D I’ll be happy with this season.
O-Line was alright. Able to produce a few good runs. Matty Ice seems a little out of his element right now but I think he’s still just trying to find his groove.
+ I second what Dores said. The fireworks during the anthem, light show, sing alongs, they’re all enjoyable. Right now the product on the field isn’t what we want so they need to do as much as they can to make it fun for the people in the stadium.

Right. And realistic fans don't expect us to be able to beat the Bamas and LSUs of the world right now. Simply from a numbers standpoint we just got back to a 85 man roster. Its definitely a process.
Team isn't sloppy, barely makes penalties. These guys are getting coached the right way. We just have to win in recruiting.

We'll have to remain patient (out of the question for some), relish in the wins we do get along the way and try to be part of "staying the course" with both players and coaches. But from everything I've seen, these guys are energized and moving in the right direction. Hell, our center and two offensive guards played every snap last night - something unheard of in this era of HUNH offenses.

I was at the game as well. I thought the atmosphere was much better in the stadium especially music selection. Instead of doing I Saw the Light going into the 4th quarter, I wish they would do Thunderstruck and the light show. I also thought it was a good idea to show other live games on the jumbotron during long tv timeouts. Arkansas did not bring a big crowd it looked - at least there weren't many in my section.

^^^Yep, not all the energy in the building these days is entirely based on what’s happening on the field. Those making the decision on the music, lights and video have to be aware of what excites as well.

Thunderstruck looked pretty cool from the video I saw. I thought the stadium sounded quiet on tv though.

Bruh it is rare the stadium is not quiet. We are too cool to cheer
