Kiffin lost to 3 win Kentucky last year.
shite happens and great coaches lose games they shouldn’t sometimes. Campbell is at Iowa State and had made them a consistent winner with next to no resources

I was told that very thing last year, but dismissed it as BS. Seeing so many people talking about it now though makes me think it's legit.
Also, the word on Bentley not getting any reps - lots of smoke it involves Landry. Not sure if it's true, but there was a picture of them where she was sitting in his lap. I dunno
Also hearing he went to rehab his first year - I know there were rumors around town about him partying it up.

I didn’t hear any of that but I know when Lane was first hired, he didn’t step foot back on campus after the intro press conference until July right around fall camp. He was in Boca Raton.
Now that is mainly because of Covid stuff but up until he got to Oxford, Lebby was the one running the day to day and was basically the head coach his first 9 months as our coach. It got to the point that Lebby had such a good relationship with the boosters that some of them started to prefer him as being the HC.
Then Lane finally came to town and took control and the rest is history.
People will sling shite the next week or so but the guy did bust his arse for 6 years and definitely elevated our program. Which is part of the reason I’m irritated we just immediately hired Golding without even trying to interview other candidates

Right after he was hired, there was an incident where he was caught wasted and having public sex in a restroom. Ole Miss forced him to go to rehab, which is how he got off of alcohol. It was a condition of employment that he stay sober.

I'm betting Keith did reach out to a bunch of folks the past month. I think our top targets went elsewhere and Lane's timing screwed things up. Rather see us just pay Pete a low HC salary than roll the dice on a real unknown that would cost us more on a long contract. With Pete, you know you have a great recruiter and someone that works their arse off. Coaching under Saban and Lane all these years - he's seen how programs should be run.

And I am not as upset about the Golding hire although I tend to hate that kind of hire. The pickings were shite this year. There was basically Sumrall and the rest were meh. At least Golding knows football and is an awesome recruiter. Matt Luke was neither. If Golding can lure a good OC or keep CWJ, he will be fine.

Golding can get OC and other staff he needs with his rep around the college.. KC i think notice that and reason he pick him over Joe Judge.
