I hate it because DJ could've been such an asset, but I'm always glad to see Mike Hilton get not chances out there. That guy is a gamer.

Maybe he is gonna play both and they are just getting him ready for more depth. I mean he has played wr before.

Maybe I'm delusional but back in the summer I really thought he and tee would be our best corners this year
ETA: maybe DJ wasn't our best 2nd corner right now but definitely gonna the highest upside going on size and athleticism

If he had been a starter or even a 2nd string corner I would say you're probably right. This move doesn't make any sense unless it really is just about either a)Other people have surpassed him or b)He is disgruntled playing defense.
Seems like it has to be an attitude thing for me. You don't go from being talked about as a potential NFL corner one day to converting back to a WR a month later because you can't crack the rotation at cb.

He's an incredible athlete and your beat athletes usually end up on D... Hopefully Freeze brings in someone like Ken Lucas to sit down and speak with Jones.. KL can let him know right away that it might be his dream to play O, but with his measurables, if he wants to make a living out of playing football it will only occur if he learns to play man coverage at an elite level.. Just not a lot of 6'3" guys in the world that possess the hips to play CB
