Even if he signs, they may not announce it then. We never know what schemes are at play in the end. I'm sure Keith may be a bit pissed at his contemporaries for making him deal with this in this season and the public shite they did. Big boosters were pissed at the LSU plane landing in Oxford. That was seen as a slap in the face.

If it does remain quiet. If Summrall takes the Auburn gig, that may mean we have Kiffin.

Do we really want a coach that doesn’t truly want to be here?

There is without question a dab of “selling your soul” going on with this.

He has offers on the table from other schools. If he doesn’t want to be here, sign those deals. You’ll never have a coach that “loves” Ole Miss and success. See: Matt Luke. It’s a job. Nothing more.

The last thing we need is another Matt Luke who loves us so much that they would never leave

Loving the place and not wanting to be there would be two different things. I don’t expect the former nor would I at all like the latter. Just sayin’.

Famously, Henry was a huge Matt Luke supporter at the time. Couldn’t stop singing his praises.

Loved it. Loved it sooooooo fricking much. Even better was all the old boomers saying he didn’t have enough time and “HE LOVES OLE MISS!! HE IS THE RIGHT MAN TO LEAD THESE YOUNG MEN!!”

The one that got me was “We will never be Alabama or LSU. As long as we graduate players and make a bowl game and just compete we should be happy!!”

I’m getting worked up just reminiscing. Those people are the worst thing to have in a fan base

I honestly don't care that he does as long as he doesn't shite the bed in the process of doing so.

He should have just said "no" this year and moved onto a big job in a year when we are 9-3 or something.

I'm not begging him to stay anymore.

We dont pay him to love us. We pay him to win at the footballs.

fricking this. I don’t give a shite it he hates Ole Miss and Oxford. If he wins games and gets us to the playoff, he can piss on Johnny Vaught’s statue and livestream it for all I care

Just win baby

I have been an Ole Miss fan my whole life and followed the Rebs like it was a religion. After the first half of Luke's 1st season, I just quit. I didn't start watching us again until the day he was fired.

I didn’t even celebrate when we won the Egg Bowl when he was interim coach. Because I knew exactly what that meant

The piss and miss is arguably the most influential and important moment in program history

If you told me that was a direct quote from Pete Boone or Robert Khayat, I would believe you.

Tuberville wanted to stay at Ole Miss. I was in the film tower with him one day and he had great plans of stadium expansions and everything. He left us that year because all he ever heard was "no."
