I still maintain that Freeze would have been successful here had he not been fired.

He’s not used to getting questioned like that. It was super awkward.

I didn't watch it. Is it worth a view?

Two very important things, 1. frick ICE and 2. frick off, so sorry for sharing anything. Guess I could go hide behind a paywall like Neal.

Lane Kiffin on SEC Coaches Teleconference: "Kind of the second of open dates; we're treating it like a normal practice week...our players have had great energy and physicalness at practice. I think they realize what's at stake here at 10-1, chance to go 11-1. It's been really good...we're just going to keep working and go down to Starkville."
Lane Kiffin on when he expects to have clarity on his future: "Like I said, I've been saying the same thing for six years, I'm not speaking on other jobs...."
Lane Kiffin when asked if he expects to be the coach at the Egg Bowl next week: "Do you know something I don't know? Do I expect to coach next week? Hmmm...Why would I not expect to coach next week? Why would I be at work (now)?...I must be missing something."
Lane Kiffin: “Keith and I, I’ve seen him twice already today, Keith and I have a great relationship. We communicate daily on a lot of things. I love it here. It’s been amazing and we’re in a season that’s the greatest run in the history of Ole Miss at this point, having never been at this point. I think it’s really exciting. I think Saturday night was amazing. I’m just living in the moment that it’s amazing, and our players are too. I see their joy about the practice season and where they’re at and have so much on the line. It’s just awesome to be a part of.”
Lane Kiffin on if it's flattering or overwhelming to have three different fanbases after his services: "It doesn't feel good on this call. Somehow it's got spun really negatively. If programs want your coach, it should be looked at as a great thing by your fans....or would you rather be 5-6 or 6-5 and no one wants your coach?"
He also thought there would be another call next week but someone had to remind him that there wasn't one.
Edited to add: Someone also asked him he had talked to LA Governor Landry, and he said even if he had he wouldn't talk about that.

Point blank if he’d be coaching the egg bowl, if he talked to Landry, and about where he was at on making a decision.

I'm really leaning towards the Egg Bowl being the last time he'll be coaching an Ole Miss team. He has lost so much good will between boosters and fans at this point. He didn't learn his lesson from 2022 and folks were slow to forgive him, and now this mess...

He’s told way too many people that matter it was over and it clearly wasn’t more than once this year. If we ever touch another Sexton client I’d be shocked.

Carter is going to let him coach the Egg Bowl and then Saturday or Sunday it will be announced he is leaving and the following Monday or Tuesday we will have Sumrall hired.
That’s my guess right now

No - he uses a different agency

I seen posted around that he’s Clint Dowdle’s client. Not sure on accuracy.

Clint Dowdle is Sumrall, Drinkwitz, and Elko's agent.

Whatever the deadline is, Kiffin will either wait until the last second or will simply refuse to give an answer.
Posted on 11/19/25 at 1:53 pm to Henry Jones Jr
I’d be shocked if he coaches again without some sort of assurance
