It already has. I don’t know how many times I need to say it, there are people that donate sizable amounts that wanted him gone before the egg bowl. He needs a miracle to pull the fanbase back together if somehow he ends up stuck here.

He is not staying here. Come on people. He is just trying to not look like the bad guy here. “It was a really hard decision” type shite. I see us caving, letting him coach, and being screwed for next year etc. The whole situation is just wrong. It is wrong.

If he's allowed to coach I'll be pissed.
Would 109% need to be on condition that he does not agree to anything with another school. Does not recruit for another school. Does not form a staff at another school. He acts like 100% our head coach. At least we can frick over LSU too then.

I think he knows we can't allow it, but with sexton pushing the narrative that he wants to keep coaching this team, he's trying to avoid the narrative that he quit on a playoff team and it makes us look like the bad guys. If he believed in this team, he wouldn't be looking to leave. I don't want a coach that doesn't believe in this team coaching in the playoff

You can’t claim that all of our arguments rely on “maybe” or “might” when all of your arguments do the same.
One thing that isn’t a maybe or might is that Lane’s reputation is as good as toast right now with boosters and fans.

Not dismissing your points, but I would like to counter them.
[Stringing us along for over a month. - Not in our best interst]
While at the same time ripping off five straight Wins.
[Requiring a 2nd pay raise within a 2 month span for him to stay - Not in our best interest.]
Assuming this is correct. I have no problem with this. Pay the man.
[Having a Home playoff game in a rebuilding year and still can't decide if it's worth staying or not - Not in our best interest.]
One home play off game (which we will get anyway in my opinion) is not greater than potentially the next 10 years of play off games and possible nattys
[Pissing off the fanbase, players, coaches, and boosters - Not in our best interest.]

Just tell LK he is under contract so get the team ready for the post-season. Then tell him his presence will be a game time decision. Suspend him in the locker room, whether SECCG or CFP.

Even after all of this, I prefer he stays. Because I believe he gives us the best chance to contend for championships. But the chances of him staying at this point have to be single digit.

I think he and the admin are simply looking to see how this Bama Auburn game goes. I expect Bama to run away with it and we may know by the 2nd half that Lane is off to LSU.
