I heard earlier today from someone I do trust (didn't put a ton of stock in it since it's just silly season - but given what else is coming out tonight...) apparently Lane and LSU spoke yesterday and it did not go well.

It’s all just rumors and innuendo I’ve heard so far, but the amount and consistency is really good. I be blunt though, I got burned by the verbal agreement last time so I’m still skeptical. Blink twice seems confident though.

Anyone though about this.. Kiffin could troll everyone but making the news cycle about Ole Miss by saying he is staying right before them cupcake games what few SEC games they got this week. If it comes out he sign before Game Day.. It would mostly about how Ole Miss got keep him and how Gators and LSU still need be on hunt for a coach

If we keep him and hold off two top 10 power brands that very obviously have him as number 1 on their boards, that would quickly change the narrative about our program being a stepping stone.

I don’t buy Florida ever being in. Scott Stricklin would lock the Kiffins in burning building if he got the chance. Feels like it was lip service to their money people. LSU worried me for a second.

LSU has 3-5 guys who post on On3 that are very inside the program. The writers just pump out generic bullshite but people mainly have the subscription for those few. They all seem pretty optimistic but nothing definitive. Just laughing at Florida right now really.
If Lane passes on LSU I would think our 30 million a year in NIL is going to being some surprise names into the fold so we’ll see.
