What I find most confusing is how we get so far behind in the first half of these games. We have basically been blown completely out in the first half of 2 or 3 home games by mid-majors. Then we manage to come all the way back and even get a lead only to fall short of pulling it out. I suppose we expend so much energy getting back into it, we can't finish it off. At least that's what I keep hearing. And another thing I detest, are all these home games in-a-row against no name teams when the students aren't in school. Oxford has proven it's not much of a basketball town, so the chances of us having even a decent crowd this time of year against an Illinois State type with the team we are putting on the court is damn near impossible.

Watching the Rebs and South Carolina here on this New Year's Eve and there are so many bullshite calls both ways I can barely stand to watch. I just don't get it.

... and to follow right up we get out on the break, get bumped pretty hard going to the basket, no whistle and a blocked shot, they get the ball on the break immediately the other way, there's no block and basically no contact and they call a foul on us. 3 point play. Again, makes no sense. What has basketball become?

I saw the 2 phantom 3-point calls in the last minute. Yelled profanities at the TV but the refs didn't change the calls.

I think I could take an online course in officiating one afternoon while nobody is looking at work and do better than most.
