5'11 170 WR? Would have bet he was a 6'5 290 DE before clicking link.

If it is a Chris Jones situation then we are in great position. Night before he was committing to Ole Miss.

I'm telling you it's real close with AJ and Kobe...

AJ reportedly canceled his mid-week visit to state.

I don't guess you would recommend any of us getting our hopes up for either one of them?

I could honestly care less how many of the MS top ten we get. That is something that only state would brag about.

Not directed at you, just responding to those talking about it earlier

The only thing that deters me from saying it's us is the fact that he's announcing at his high school. I do think we have a GREAT chance with Kobe tho.

In a lot of years, winning MS isn't as big a deal as simply landing the top prospects, and we usually do. However, this year MS has more true blue chippers than usual. Winning MS, our backyard, especially with Saban trying to come in and poach, would be worth something on the national recruiting stage. We're not merely trying to keep these kids out of Starkganistan; we're trying to keep them from Tuscaloosa too.

Most kids announce from their high school. I wouldn't let this particular fact worry you. We're not getting AJ though so...

You can direct it at me if you want because I could care a whole lot less about how many we get. Meaning, I care an awful lot. If we could consistently get the top 10 recruits from our own state it gives us a core to build on; if we split those players with an in-state rival and then let Bama or some other school poach and cherry-pick our best talent, it just makes it that much harder and we have to hit more home runs out of state. Geesh, isn't this obvious?

Usually I'd agree with you, but this year is loaded with talent.

Also, if we could finish with 7 out of 10, I really think we put a sizeable gap between the two programs (bigger than there is now). I can see state winning maybe 6-7 games next year. Dak bailed them out ALOT last year.

Are we really not getting another commitment until signing day? I need some ideas to make the time go by faster.

1. Freeze myself
2. Xanax coma
3. Kill Micheal J Fox and take his time machine.

Any other ideas?

The only reason I would find sown sort of enjoyment in saying " we got however many of the top 10 in Ms!" is because it's all they care about.
I find it much more fun to get highly rated prospects from other states.

Can we enjoy ED is starting to eat their own now in regards to recruiting

LOL at MSU

I know, do not give them clicks. This site helps Ole Miss more than they will ever know though. ED will help our recruiting in the end, help support the crazy.

Dude, I check ED every day and I'm not ashamed. It's hilarious. They've turned melting into a slow-burning art form and I am forever grateful that LW made it all happen. So yeah, I even click an ad every now and then. May ED never die.
