Allen won't leave a DC job for an assistant job, especially when he garnered interest this year at being Auburn's next DC. He'll wait it out.
It is a bummer that McGriff is gone, though. Batoon has been in talks with Hawaii to join their staff. It would've been nice to grab McGriff to fill his void if/when he leaves.

I'm very disgruntled that we couldn't land mcgriff.
Hope he doesn't fit well at auburn somehow,
Would love for mcgriff to have the same role as auburn just gave him with the co DC title.

I thought he was being considered for the DC position? Has state already replaced Manny Diaz?

I was telling auburn fans to relax, because worst case scenario Steele and Mcgriff will stockpile a lot of talent for the next coach. Plus Steele is not elite by any stretch, but he's also not remotely as bad as the SECR wants to believe.

I know some would say our 2013 class was "top heavy" ala 5 Star DB, 5 Star DE, 5 Star OL, 5 Star WR. But...
Are we finishing higher due to stars or the fact that we are taking a larger # of players than we did in 2013? And how many 5 stars based on (247/rivals) are we getting? And who are some really good 5 stars you think we will finish with, I like stars.

247 only takes the top 20 players in your class into consideration. So class size doesn't matter there.

My bad, I thought someone was talking about him taking a job at Auburn under Steele. I think State wants Orgeron, wouldn't be a bad hire if they could arrange it. Also, it would be a great troll job.

Pretty sure we have two and will getting no more unless someone gets bumped up. Gary and Juarez are the only two realistic chances at 5's i think, and we're not getting either.

Benito is a 5 star on ESPN and could get a bump. Also. Simmons and DK are pushing 5 star status.

I'm as hard as a diamond in an ice storm right now.

Simmons will get a fifth star by one of the sites, no doubt about it. I doubt DK gets a fifth, but it's possible, I guess.

A lot of crystal balls for Bama with regards to Shyheim Carter. Are we falling out of the race? If so, any chance we can get Knott. Have a feeling if they get Carter back, there won't be room for Knott at Bama. Have feeling we lose Carter to Bama and then Knott goes to State.

David just CB'd Gary to Ole Miss.

Knott is a weird case. Personally I don't think we have any chance with him.

More publicity and advertisement.
Freeze and/or IMG media are on top of things.

David better not be teasing with us.
