?That's a terrible comparison.

I'm talking about hurting regional recruiting not positional.

A better comparison is Dan dropping Virgil really hurt ms states recruiting in the Texas area, as the hs coach told others and a lot of people and coaches were pissed.
Not that Dan could recruit Texas well anyway, but it got impossible now.

I was just curious as other Mississippi high school coaches talk to each other would it affect recruiting.

Anyway not important, he's not even an ole miss recruit. Sorry to derail the thread.
Hope he does well at La Tech.

No need to apologize. From all over heard from actual people you are correct.

No need bro. Not trying to argue or anything. I just don't think it will affect Cal.

But I have no "inside" info.

No disrespect to Abraham, but Gilliam is the better athlete and probably has a stronger arm as well.

Yeah Jack isn't that great of a QB. I like the dude, but he's not a D1 QB.

Jack might be limited physically...but as far as his brain (which is the most important part of being a college QB) is better than 90% of all HS QB. So if he gets an offer...that is the reason. He could develop more physically...so you just never know. I have seen PLENTY of Ole Miss QBs that were not gifted athletically that could do the job. Jack is a huge reason Oxord has won over the last few years. To say he can't be DI may not be true...cause mentally...He is at that level right now.

Very good honestly... I feel like Donta Evans has all SEC potential... David LaffyTaffy seems to be rangy and coachable

We are in play for Mique (obviously good)... Since we only use two, I feel like this is a solid class already... Adding Mique would only be a whole slab of icing on top of the cake

Ended up on this page by sheer luck, but was able to deduct that we have the hottest women on the planet. CHF has the attention of fan bases far beyond the SEC. Nice to see them arguing over us.

We didn't make Nauta's final 3... Looks like he is UGA bound.

Anybody know how Shawn Curtis has developed? Gates is definitely a starter but who is playing Mike bext year?

Will we even have any options besides Gates, Caldwell, Luafastsga, and Curtis? It doesn't seem like Strong or Ray Ray will ever play.

Caldwell isn't big enough. Luafastsga won't be here until the summer. Curtis will be a 2* RS freshman

It'd be great if some graduate transfer came in (even if he was just an extra body) and we were to sign Mique. Either way this unit looks pretty weak

Have a friend that works with the team and watches practice everyday. Says Curtis is an absolute beast. They've moved him back and forth from D end to LB

Talking about transfer LBers reminds me I saw this on Mike Mitchell on the LSU RB earlier. I saw this guys HS highlight highlights and thought he was going to be a star. If I remember right we had some type of in with him but he never really considered us

It's David's opinion that of Gary, Simmons, and Hall, we get at least 2 out of the 3.

First you have to understand why he was a 3* (not a 2*). I think he wasn't originally from Florida so the transition there kept him hidden. Second, he played AAU basketball and never "camped". So he was a total under the radar kid basically. Initially his only offer was West Point (near where he was originally from and it bodes real well in regards to brains). Curtis didn't hit the radar until Michigan State's DC took the HC gig at Pittsburgh and went all "in" on him. He is known for identifying under the radar talent and schools pay attention to who he goes after out of the blue. That put a huge spot light on him. Additianally he made All Dade County which very well may be the most football "talent rich" county in the USA. All that being said, I am pretty excited to see how he pans out next year. With his athletic ability and brains we may just have a beast at MLB.
