Who else are we after on the DL?
We have Wiley & Benito. I assume Tisdale projects at defensive end at his height.
I know we're after Simmons, whom we have a good shot at, and Gary who we're a longshot to land.
Doesn't staff feel like we need one more DT and DE? If so, who are the realistic prospects?
ETA: In particular, who's our backstop if we don't land Simmons?

He tweeted that he was granted a sixth year of eligibility. Which is good for him
But he was a senior and all of the seniors have to leave to open up scholarships.

Yes, he is on scholarship and I share your mindset, but I doubt we are turning down star players because of this. Plus this was expected to happen so our recruiting numbers shouldnt change.

He's the first guy in years that has allowed me to actually watch a punt return knowing we had a chance to not screw it up. Well worth his scholarship.

Naquan Jones is the only kid that I actually feel like we might land on the DL outside of Simmons and even with him I would put the chances around 35%. Kobe Jones is a possibility I guess. If AJ and Willie both end up being rebels, (serious doubt with AJ) then Kobe would probably follow, though we like him at OG more than DT.

Naquon jones did commit to Michigan state two weeks ago.
But a slim chance to flip him back is reasonable.

He decommitted and then recommitted. That's happened a lot this cycle.
We aren't getting Oliver unless Herman leaves. And I don't see that happening now.

Sounds like we've gone all in on Simmons then.

We've been after him for a while now. It's not some big secret or anything. Terrell Hall is the other one that I think we'll push hard for or so I hope.

I feel pretty good about DL, but what are we doing about LB?

Donta Evans is an EE who will be on campus in January. I'm sure there will be another LB or two that we snag even if they are diamonds.

Oh yeah, that's right. I was just excited about seeing White in news feed recently and with Divinity decommitting and whatnot.
