Moved here after graduation. Selfishly, it's why I want the tourney to stay in Hoover even though it is a dump

Tomorrow is at regions field though which is pretty sweet

Tell me about living in Birmingham. I'm applying for a job there today.

Downtown or further out in Hoover/homewood/vestavia?

I'm not the best source thanks to my unfortunate work schedule, but I know downtown has some good local breweries. Cost of living is pretty low depending on the area (I have a 2 br in Southside for <$700). There is a good social organization for young professionals, and if you are athletically inclined some fun kickball and softball leagues which are basically just reasons to drink during the week.

I can post my secr email if you have specific questions.

The consensus I hear about Birmingham is that it is getting better, but it's still not great.

It is definitely getting way better. Grew up in the area and never would have thought about moving back when I left for college. Now, there are decent places to drink, concert venues and parks. And we have uber, so take that,Oxford

Birmingham's undergoing a revival much like many other Southern cities that had a rough 80s/90s. It's revival kinda reminds me of what's going on in Memphis, but on a smaller scale and without as much murder. The foodie scene in Birmingham is very impressive for a city its size though. I love going out there when I visit my aunt. Lots of unexpectedly cool (and delicious) restaurants and bars.

From what I can remember about the bbva compass bowl, you should look for a place close to Legion field

Seriously, there are some cool spots around Bham. It shits on Jackson, FWIW

Having lived in Jackson for a summer, I completely agree with that

Edit: in terms of food we even have a BBB

I appreciate it guys. That's not bad for a 2 bed. I have incredibly little experience with bham outside of the sec tourney.

Got the W.

First uab pitcher was throwing mid 70s and then a reliever came in throwing 90. Our guys caught on quickly though. Our offense is so much more clutch than last year.

2 HRs and Golsan was robbed of one by the wind

They play a lot of small ball and rape less than the football team

Speaking of rape. Louisville has been beating the frick out of bitches since we took that series from them. We are their only 2 losses on the season.

That was a big boy series win.
