Raw.. He rarely throws it in the wing-t system his team runs from my understanding.

as realist said he is pretty raw there. the routes he does throw are pretty basic but his arm has looked good on those throws. he has nice zip on em.

it's not like Dak was some polished passer either, he's been on campus since 2011 and has just really come into his own late last year/this year. pellerin is your ideal guy to redshirt and let sit till he's a RS junior or so.

Yeah I like him as a qb because he has size and speed you can't coach. Working on his passing is what most hs qbs need. As you guys alluded to, you let him sit a few years and develop could be special. I like qbs that grow up in the system.

I would take Kelly and hope we hold LSU off for Pellerin.

Has anyone else watched Swinney's junior and senior year tapes on Hudl? He looks stronger in the senior year tapes but also looks like he's lost a step. Did anybody notice something similar?

I watched Kelly's full season highlights last night. All 38 minutes of them.. not really. . each play is shown twice. I have to say he looked good. Quick feet and good touch on the ball. He looks ready made for our system and could be plug and play if the coaches feel that's the direction to go with.

LINK His Twitter link to the video. I didn't see this "whole season highlight" on his hudl page. Disclaimer: It downloads the thing to my phone.

I just did and I see what you mean. His ability to separate in his junior highlights was noticeably different from his senior tape. Almost every highlight from his senior tape was him getting chased down from behind.

I'm not about to complain about someone gaining size and power though even at the expense of speed.

Exactly. I don't think he'll have many sixty-yard runs at Ole Miss, but he should be a reliable 5-6 ypc back for us and that is what we need to control game flow and keep defenses honest.

Kelly looks legit in that tape. A lot of people look amazing in JUCO though.

Yea, it's hard to judge off juco tape sometimes. The positive he has going is he was highly recruited out of hs and did play at Clemson. That means something, just not sure what. Hopefully if he does come, he pans out on and off the field.

Kelly isn't the runner Bo was at EMCC. Jmo from the film I've seen.

I would say comparing both their film at that point in their career, Kelly is better than Bo was at EMCC. However, Bo improved as he played here Becuase he had not reached his potential yet at EMCC. Now it could go two ways with Kelly, either he has hit his ceiling and is playing his best, or he has a lot of room to improve. Never can tell I guess.

Bo was a little slower but threw the ball better than kelly. The offense was a little different, when I say a little I mean just minute differences. But they were very similar while in juco.
