They way the new draft rules are, if you are drafted in the top 10 rounds it's highly likely you sign. If you get drafted 10-20 it's 50-50 depending on the money and how bad you want to go pro. 20-40 is mostly HS kids, JUCO kids, and college SRs

Christian Morgan has us in his top 4. I'd love to get this kid.

Good lord this thread is awful.

TD's.. So you're saying OM having the two worst back to back seasons since Bianco has taken over (10 years) is the same as Spurrier leading SC to most wins in school history a year after winning the east? We are top 8 at worst in fans, money, and facilities in the nation. We should be a top 25 team every year and a top 10 team every other year. If they didn't institute the new 10 team rule this would be the second year in a row we didn't make the SEC tourney. Bianco has sucked ever since McDowells recruits have left.

And Bundy, we will have one of the top pitching staffs in the nation next year while returning 10 our top 13 bats. Yes we lose our top two, but year two in development under Godwin according to everyone is when things take off. If we don't host Bianco is gone, no question

We can agree to disagree on this.

Also, I'm sure our staff would be very excited to have a commitment from Mix, but do you honestly think he fits our style? He's 340+ and still growing. Like I said, I'm sure we'd be happy to have him but no way he's our top OL on our board

I'd love to know who is?

The Johnson kid y'all have committed has a less than impressive offer list as does Boulden from Canton.

The top two OL from MS are Jake Thomas from Columbus and Deon Mix

Who has offered Thomas and Mix? Robertson said Thomas's offers were state and USM

Johnson claims a Bama offer, and also committed really early

Mix has offers from State, OM, Bama, Florida, Nebraska, USM, purdue, etc...

Thomas has been a STRONG State lean for a while has offers from State, OM, USM, and will have one from Stanford if he visits there. Thomas is a consensus 4star by Scout, Rivals, and 247

Not many skinny OL

Here's Jake Thomas who Yancy thinks is a CUSA player.

About the 3 minute mark he is playing Aberdeen and having his way with Channing Ward.

I'm saying he has your program in the best position it has ever been in. That's what I am saying. The wrong hire and you might get to start missing post season. Just like if South Carolina got a new coach.

We did miss the post season last year and was a series away from missin it this season. Bianco had, had being the key word, our program at the best it had ever been. Same as Polk did for y'all

Nice quote from Daronte Bouldin

quote:

"Ole Miss is ahead of MSU right now," Bouldin said. "I just feel more comfortable with them. I'm building a better relationship with their coaches and feeling more love."

Can someone explain the new draft rules and why they're more likely to go if drafted in the top 10 rounds? I haven't kept up to date with my MLB draft knowledge.
