Nice.

Thick, smoky, with a pleasant firey finish. Good for cold March eves.

Woodford is good. I first had it on Delta flights because they serve it.

I find the airline whisk(e)ys to be void of texture. Maybe due to altitude. Dulls the pallet? Woodford's is a very fine sip though, even at altitude.

I actually think they test for this with both food and beverages.

Maybe it's the canned air everyone is breathing. Nothing taste right on a plane.

(insert pussy joke)

Woodford is a constant for me in terms of bourbon. I tend to end up going back to it and Four Roses.

I've been on a Basil Hayden kick as of late though. I think it's because it's lighter and spicier and I'm hoping it ushers in spring sometime soon.

Bulleit?

Thanks, it's on my list.

What can I expect?

Exactly what I thought about Basil's. Light and spicie. Good for a picnic, but not a poker game.

For the record, I think Noah's Mill is the best bourbon available.

1. Pappy 20
2. Elijah Craig 18
3. Weller 's 12
4. Eagle rare

I don't drink much bourbon, but of the ones I've had these were the best, IMHO.

Bulleit Rye is the tits.

As for the OP, Woodford is my bourbon of choice when I'm in a liquor mood.

Anyone tried Buffalo Trace? A guy was raving about it but haven't tried it yet.

I like Woodford a lot too ... and I'm working on my ninth set of Blanton's corks. My mission is to have enough so that the horse runs all the way around the top of my man cave tiki bar.

Plus the Blantons bottles make great lanterns.

Normnally, I'm a scotch drinker but Blantons is the nectar of the whiskey gods.
