I wouldn't mind trying out Portland or Seattle for a while to be honest.
The exact two cities that I was thinking about when I posted that
These are the only two cities anyone from around here thinks about when someone says Oregon and Washington.
Northern Cali is awesome..

I actually considered going to Oregon State for a second. Corvallis isn't a bad looking town.

I really can't think of any valid reasons why the South is better than the North. They have us beat in any social metric, like obesity, education, poverty, teen pregnancy, divorce rates, pretty much everything. The South is honestly a complete shithole when using those criteria.
But we have better weather I guess. Except for tornadoes.
Things are cheaper down here. I'll go with that one.
Damn, but things are cheaper because wages are lower. This is hard.

Not true, we're just better at telling the truth.

Southerners, for the most part, are much friendlier, more gracious, and just have better manners than Northerners. This counts for a lot to me.
The South, in general, has a more laid back atmosphere and not as uptight as the North.
Sports, especially football, seem to be a bigger deal, in general.
Food is MUCH better in the South.
We have better accents.

Both areas are awesome. I spent three August weeks between Portland and Seattle, never saw a drop of rain in 2007. Left there and went to Vancouver. BEAUTIFUL country.. You can really tell how much younger the metro areas are there compared to here.

Pretty much this. I can't think of many reasons. I'd probably like it better up north or out west.

Yankee girls are easy.
Girls from the north are much cooler about one night stands, no strings attached, foreplay, experimenting, etc.
Southern girls typically aren't into that stuff because of their 'ladylike' expectations and love the idea of being housewives and mothers, which some guys are into but I'm not one of them.
Northern girls do tend to be bitchier but it's usually all an act that is pretty easy to get through.

I can tell you that is a very, very rare thing. I spent last summer in Seattle and I wore a rain jacket more often than not May through mid-July. Everyone up there said the winter months can just be miserable as far as the overcast rainy skies go. Don't get me wrong, I loved it there though.

1-Most people here are just as nice and hospitable. South doesn't really have an advantage here TBH.
I can guarantee that this is not the case in much of the north, especially the east coast, Ohio, and Western Penn.

The weather and cost of living are boh much better in the south. Intelligence level much higher up north.

Cheaper to air condition than heat with oil.

1) women - Jesus I love southern girls.
2) women love southern guys
3) better climate
4) better football
5) people are nicer and more laid back (west is like this too)
6) simple life - all I need is a tailgate, cooler full of beer, some friends and some ladies and I am good to go
