Yeah, it's only those guys who try to fit into a particular persona and "act the part." Not you though, you're an original, classy, worldly woman who doesn't model herself after any preconceived style or try fit into any particular social group by acting a certain way.

Have pretty much this exact shirt except the gold edging is toned down, the stitching on the shoulders/sides is black, and mine's a v-neck.

Probably b/c you make snap judgments based on their appearance before you could ever get to know them and keep yourself from even being near them in public at the horror of your pretentious friends seeing you associating with such "classless" guys.
If you think our initial response isn't based upon appearance/attractiveness you're more naive then I thought. Men and women do this every time they walk into a bar with the intention of picking up a guy/girl.
And I'm not making a snap judgement. I've known guys like the OP described. I have yet to know one that isn't an asshat. Why waste my time approaching one of those guys when odds are the guy that looks like a civilized being and carries himself well is probably a better catch?
But hey, it is funny coming from you after you accused the OP of being an "Ole Miss douche". Why are you making generalizations?

I'm want to say something but I'm afraid of the backlash it will bring.

Just say it--you know you want to
Ain't nobody holding back in this thread anyway.

I wouldn't wear it FWIW Tbird.. I like solid colors and don't like wearing anything red.
Anytime I see someone wearing red I feel like they busted through the wall and said OHHH YEAH!

It's all good
My girl doesn't love the style, per se--but she likes how it looks on me, so that's good enough.

People of different ethnicities can pull off things that people of mine can't. Such as drinking vodka cranberry without having their manhood questioned.

Black/white is my usual color palette for the raw state/redemption type shirts, but red looks good next to the skin tone I have. My shirt's a darker red than the one pictured, fwiw--almost a burgundy but not quite.

Touche, my good man
And I'm used to people either loving or hating different wardrobes I have in my repertoire, just from living in different places around the country.
I'll go from an affliction-style shirt to western wear to a button down and slacks in under 72 hours, no lie

That was an objective generalization - That's just part of their culture and they are proud of it and even OP conceded it. The generalizations you make regarding men who dress a certain way is your own personal viewpoint.

Shared by a whole lot of people, including several in this very thread.
So only Jon Ham can make generalizations and be a hypocrite trying to call others out for theirs. Thanks for the clarification.

Why would anyone wear clothes when going "out" that has writing/words on them? It just screams douche/attention whore.
Posted on 2/2/13 at 4:11 pm to Jon Ham
Anyone who says they dont' make generalizations based on someones appearance is a fricking liar. It's the human condition. And it's impossible to be different.
