At least his entire family fought against the NAZIs. Hell, they were marked for assasination by the NAZIS. So even tho' his is inappropriate as hell, I get that as a teenager he was being a ironic.
Japan, OTOH, fought WITH the NAZIs. And what's worse is they never were held to account for the horrific crimes they committed and their camps and experiments were as bad as Mengele's. Japan playing dress-up is more disturbing given history.
At any rate is this really popular or just a small subculture?

Are you referring to China because Japan was absolutely not an ally, hence Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
I think most of this shite is stemming from Japan because honestly, as most people have said, they are strange. Though their chicks are crazy kinky, mostly hot, and love Americans. Good times if you can pull it off.

Lets hope that this is just some messed up fad. I remember in the 80's they were dressing up 50's style with poodle skirts and going to sock hops. They're just weird.

During my study abroad in college in France, I lived near some Japanese and Korean girls who were in my class. We'd invite them out to bars, parties, etc. and they'd just stay in playing games. One of them I witnessed where they were sitting around in a circle clapping and singing. It was strange.
