Neither. The most detrimental thing for the colored people is black on black crime.

Damn, you do realize it's not 1960. And even if that was an okay to say still, what does black on black crime have to do with Latinos, Asians, Arabs, or Persians?

I'd say people care since they make "donations" to his foundation to get his approval.

Why would you ask a bunch of whites on a message board a question about blacks??? Must be looking for a certain response, get people riled up

No such thing

I believe there is for many black people. The lack of two parent households is quite possibly the biggest issue here, born from the cultural norms of fathers not taking responsibility for their offspring and mothers not taking responsibility for their reproduction.

In affluent/educated populations (categories of which an unfortunately low percentage of blacks fall into) men who do not take financial and child-rearing responsibility of their families are looked down upon, and women who have children out of wedlock are labeled as sluts and low class. Such negative connotations are not really found in black communities, where both activities are viewed as normal.

Segregating them into their own "community" - either by others or by their own doing - is more detrimental than both combined.

''We'' no matter which group utters it will always be countered by ''they''. Tbi'd says there is no black community, but when there are scholarships and funds, rallies and universities, policies and laws that are directly aimed toward people for skin color, I beg to differ.

Sharpton isn't the "leader" white people think he is. Black people don't take his word as gospel, and they don't do what he says. So therefore I think the flag is more detrimental.
