Do you bring the bottom of straw up to the top where the ice is to drink it because it’s colder that way?

RIGHT?! Straws are for figs! Only a homo would put a vaguely phallic shaped object anywhere near their mouth!

Except when it's an actual ingredient, I generally avoid putting ice in my beverage. The ice melts, dilutes the drink.

Milk shakes and daiquiris are obvious good uses for both straws and ice: I usually aim for the center of mass of the liquid area. The very bottom of the cup has diminished fluid infux, close to the surface I fear air may get pulled in. So I go for the middle, hopefully to avoid the problems inherent to hitting the border regions.

Interesting. I do have more gas than most people so maybe I’ve been sucking in air with that ice cold drank. I’m still not sure if I’ll change my ways but I’ll keep you updated. Nice strategy baw.

People say this but it's only noticeable if you forget about the drink and let it melt.

Usually when I finish my drink, 95% of the ice is still in the cup. Then I eat the ice.

Cold drink? Check.
Non watered down drink? Check
Flavored ice to eat after the drink? Check
