For years we gave our indoor dogs Store Bought Treats such as Beggin' Strips, Puporonni, ect. Spring of 2017 our Yorkie mix ws diagnosed with kidney disease that took his life last Labor Day. Our Vet blamed the treats as the major contributor to his kidney's failing.

After the diagnosis and since then we give plain cheerios, frozen raw green beans or lima beans, scrambled eggs, or Veggie Chips as treats.

Our Vet highly recommends staying away from any pet food with the word Blue or Blu in the name.....they are all loaded with preservatives and things that should not be in pets diets. Only feed them Hills Science Diet or similar brands.

My dog will be in the back yard sleeping and I can open a jar of peanut butter in the basement and she'll come barreling in for some. I'm always amazed that she can smell it from that far away, while asleep.
