That, my friend, is called having your cake and eating it too along with white male privilege.

Anyone on welfare should be required to take birth control in order to receive benefits. Women should have to get shots. Men too - and I believe that yes, they know how to produce birth control shots for men, they just don't because of low demand. Don't show up for the shot, don't get a check. Have all the kids you want; when you can afford them.
I'm in 100% agreement with you.

I think too many US students are going to college for the sake of getting degrees as a result of societal and parental pressure and the result is crushing our economy because we have too many marginally intelligent/not very hard-working college grads with fluffy degrees that are causing: a) tuition prices to rise b) creating an unstable amount of student debt c) diminishing the capacity of our workforce because many of these grads are in fluffy, bloated service roles instead of learning trades and skills and d) lessening the overall value of college degrees.
TL;DR: I think too many kids feel the need to go to college, get shitty degrees they can't afford and should learn a trade/skill instead.

In reference to conversations with God, we should not think in terms of to whom is God talking to, but who is listening?

In northeast Missouri there is an ancient native american mound located in the Salt River basin that contains America's most valuable national treasure. The treasure inventory is mapped in detail on a massive cliff wall in an ancient hieroglyphic language in Marion County, Missouri about 40 miles from the mound site.
Who created the ancient treasure map? Many speculate America's first human inhabitants - ancient Europeans.
What is hidden in the mound? People suspect that it's the archives from the world's most powerful ancient culture.
Who owns the little slice of land that includes the suspect mound? The US government. No dig restriction. They simply own and protect the mound.

If two consenting adults have a relationship and the woman gets pregnant, the father should get a say in what happens to his child. If the woman's life is not in danger, it's not a case of rape and the baby will be healthy, then the father should have to sign off on an abortion being performed. If the woman doesn't want to have the child but the father does, then he should have to sign a legal document saying he will take care of the child primarily and if he fails at his responsibilities in any way, he goes to jail for a MINIMUM of 10 years.
Change "fails at" to "neglects" and I'd be OK with that.

By projection, and by what we have knowledge of, the logical next step is A.I. I think it explains the dizzying progress of technology.
That's some Heavy Shite right there!
"2001 A Space Odyssey" gave us a glimpse of what you ponder. In the end, it eventually cycled back to mankind starting all over again.
My guess is, Dorthy and Toto, would come along and bring it to it's demise.
“The history of nations shows that the cycle of the body politic slowly but surely undergoes change . . .
It progresses –
From bondage to spiritual faith
From spiritual faith to courage
From courage to freedom
From freedom to abundance
From abundance to selfishness
From selfishness to complacency
From complacency to apathy
From apathy to fear
From fear to dependency
From dependency to bondage.”

Worthy of its own thread... where are we on the continuum? I suspect apathy...
