Concur about Tait. The music that DC talk produced changed Christian music forever.

I like Led Zep's thinly veiled Satanism.

Also, as i type this...97.1 the river has counted down top 500 rock songs of all time..

And now #1...

Stairway.

Jesus is cool and all... I generally like most Christians and I think it is a solid religion. But, anyone who thinks DC Talk is a great rock band is a loser. No exceptions.

Well, we'll just agree to disagree there

For the record, I'm pretty wide-ranging in my music tastes. Don't listen to any one genre exclusively or constantly praise one while denigrating others. Country, Christian, hip hop, dubstep, trap, R&B, etc. I'll listen to 'em all and find stuff I truly enjoy.

Only genre I'm not all that keen on is speed metal. But I'm not calling people who listen to such "losers." That's fricking stupid

I'm a fan, but I wouldn't put them in my top 50.

They were a pretty good band.

They aren't even my favorite Christian band, but they were pretty good and definitely changed the game.

You have great taste buddy. I'm from the Memphis metro ...(Arkansas side). We invented rock and roll but the Brits perfected it. Led Zep / Beatles is the correct answer.

Saw them in Nashville in 1999. GangStarr opened. Was one of the best shows I've ever seen still to this day, and I'm a concert junkie. Saw them again a few years back when they had their two reunion shows at the one outside of Chicago/Milwaukee in the middle of nowhere. Queens of the Stone Age opened. Mind blown. I believe the other show was in LA.

If you get a sec, look up RATM concert from Argentina and/or Chile. It's on youtube. One of the craziest concert videos i've seen. I'd link it but youtube is blocked at work.

My favorite is either Boston or The Eagles, Red Hot Chili Peppers is worth a mention. Foreigner's Four album might be the best album ever made.

And I appreciate what the Beatles did for music but I can't stand them nor Dave Matthews Band and think they both suck.
