Look, a lot of people in Ohio are rednecks, yes, but let's not get crazy.
In Ohio…I’m pretty sure the the term “Redneck” roughly translates to “Juggalo”

True "rednecks" were the locals in West Virginia who wore bright red bandanna's around their necks in the war between the citizens and the paid for PoPo's of the coal industry. I think the US Army was eventually dispatched in a US civil war lost to history. They say on the primary hill most battles were fought on you can still find old bullets.

The real men who made America.
Standing up to the mine owners' thugs took courage and grit. It says a lot about the character of mountain people.

To me, Hank Jr, DAC, and Waylon have always felt more like outlaw country, lots of grit and attitude but still rooted in that classic country sound, while Southern Rock is what I put on when I want big guitars and more of that jam vibe, like Skynyrd or Molly Hatchet. Growing up, my dad played a lot of Waylon and Hank Jr on road trips, and then my buddies in high school were blasting Southern Rock in their trucks, so I kind of hear them as two sides of the same coin: one tells stories in a country style, the other just cranks it up louder with more riffs.

I grew up on Eminem and hip hop. My dad was a Country and Rock fan, while my mom listened to Gospel. I probably got my love of old hymns from her. That's mostly what I listen to now.
I never heard Southern Rock except in movies and video games.

The gathering of the Juggalos is almost always in Ohio. I hear people say it is a fun event.

I always thought that was an Oklahoma thing like 20 - 30 years ago?
They are like clowns and involves music?

Clowns, music, wrestling, and porn stars lol. They've held the gathering in different places and have been run out of a few towns.
The ICP did a parody of The Real Slim Shady that was very funny, but I wouldn't listen to it now.

The ICP plays a short piece of ''May You Never Be Alone'' on one of their albums, but do the whole song in concert.
