You should educate yourself about Crimea.

If anyone is doing any "throwing back" its the alpha in the WH.
The sky-screaming, juvenile left is on a year-long melt, because they cant accept that "she" lost.
Finally, someone is willing to call them out on their insanity. These screechers literally stay on the edge of their seats waiting to see what Trump will do or say next, so they can pull their hair, salivate uncontrollably and gnash their teeth.
Finally, someone with common-sense and the moxie to point our their hypocrisy.
The ship has been righted, we're back on course.

You didn't know all this? Better get somebody to tell you.

I haven't seen any evidence that 'the Russians' tried to interfere in the election.

I think they would want Hillary to win given liberals have historically been fond of Mother Russia, plus Putin did whatever he wanted to do during the Obama administration.

Probably what she's already had, Putin's little dick in her butt.

The Russians aren't for the Dems or the Repubs; they're just trying keep us at each other's throats. They're trolling both sides, and doing a very good job of it.
Putin dislikes Hillary; pretty much for the same reasons we all dislike Hillary: she's part of the effort by wealthy elitists to create a global government ruled by those that follow the Left-handed Path.
These people want Russia and the US to cede their sovereignty. Putin told Soros to kick dirt. For this I admire him. Trump's trying to uproot these same jokers, who have become entrenched through the decades, from our governmental agencies. Why do you think progs and the establishment ruling class are fighting him at every turn? They are fighting to hold on to their money and power.

In what way?

I'm well aware of the USSR's grant of territory to the Ukrainian SSR, Russia's history in the region, the demographics of the peninsula and the 2014 referendum. I don't care.

Crimea is strategically important, so important that a war was fought over it, the Soviets and Russians have based their Black Sea Fleet there, and the Russians were willing to invade in 2014.

I would much rather Crimea belong to Ukraine, NATO member or not, than it belong to Russia. The move was bad for American and NATO interests.

Apologists for the Russian invasion have used two arguments to justify Putin's actions:

1. Crimea was, historically, a Russian territory.
2. Putin was defending the rights of the Russian minority of Ukraine who live in Crimea/Donbass who would rather live in Russia, or a pro-Russian independent state, than in a EU/NATO Ukraine.

These are the exact same justifications that Putin has used elsewhere and they're both bullshite. They are identical to the justifications Hitler used, just substitute "Russian" with "German" and "Crimea and Donbass" with "Austria, Silesia, and the Sudetenland". If they weren't valid back then they aren't valid now.

I don't want to get in to domestic politics. There's a board for that and it isn't this one.

Putin is an autocratic, authoritarian scumbag who spits on the principles of freedom and limited government that make up the best parts of conservatism. He deals with dissent by having critics jailed and murdered.

You think that's why he named Gary Cohn, who was president of Goldman Sachs, director of the National Economic Council? Or why he named Steve Mnuchin (17 years at Goldman Sachs) as Treasury Secretary? Or why he made the CEO of Exxon Mobil Secretary of State? Yeah, he's really cleaning house and eliminating the influence of international capital there.

I realize that this is going to trigger some people but the fact that the Russians have interjected themselves into Western elections isn't really in question,

I laugh and continue to laugh at the people who are so worked up over this like it’s anything new. People are seriously acting like the Western countries do not do the exact same thing. Ask the Italians about western interference in the late 40’s, ask multiple countries during the Cold War when the US was trying to contain communism, and ask Israel about both Clinton and Obama openly supporting and even sending advisors to help anti Benjamin Netanyahu candidates. James Carville will not quit hyperventilating about Russian election interference and he was sent to Israel by Clinton to help do just that.

And yes, the US has interfered in Russian elections. Perhaps the most openly in 1996. By who? The husband of the losing candidate of this past election that has pushed the Russian Interference narrative from the start.

The one time the US could have done it to possibly end an oppressive dictatorial regime hell bent on obtaining nuclear weapons to wipe out allies of the US? Yea. We sat that one out and let the regime crush the uprising in Iran.
