Makes no difference. Jesus woulda been wearing robes. Most people in attendance would have been as well.

I always dress weather appropriate.

I don't go to church so don't care what people wear to church.

I did grow up going to church and had to "dress nicely" for it, so if I did go to church I doubt I'd wear shorts regardless of what everyone else was wearing.

When he gave his sermons duh. Not in a church, but out on the streets trying to rally the Jews against the Romans. Which he was eventually killed for.

There is a Baptist church on the Beach on Orange Grove. Pretty much everyone there wears shorts.

There is a church that meets on Sundays at the FloraBama. Folks wear whatever they want to wear there.

There is a biker church just below Macon, MS full of "leather jacket wearing Harley guys and their women".

In Africa, good people wear cloths to go to church most of us wouldn't be seen dead wearing.

We have belonged to more then one church that has casual clothing during Summer months.

My belief is that Jesus would go eat dinner with all of these people and be disappointed in how the Pharisees looked down their noses at the way he chose the folks he chose to associate with.

I am not certain if folks think that a "nice pair of pants" will get you into heaven, but I have news for them. That isn't how it works.

I feel truly sorry for anyone who has a problem with what someone wears to church, as long as their heart is in the right place.

Thanks for reading my rant.

Oh sorry, my oldest son wears shorts to church. SO maybe my attitude is affected by that.

I don't do the church thing so my opinion would be invalid.

When I went to church I tried to always wear a dress shirt and dress pants and a tie. felt like I should dress nice when Im in the Lord's house. More traditional that way I guess
But then I had issue with church leadership and decided to practice religion on my own. I don't know, do whatever you wanna do.

My family attends a contemporary church and I have worn shorts and flip flops in the summertime before. That's why I love going there. Its come as you are.

It just really depends on the church though. A lot of them may look at you like you're crazy if a grown man walks in wearing shorts.

Last summer one of the priests at my church talked about how shorts were inappropriate and disrespectful to God. I thought it was pretty silly to scold people who actually come to church when church attendance is dwindling all over.

Dont really do the organized religion thing but i also dont judge anyone who does.

I’ve always wondered why religious folks keep going to church when they reach adulthood. Seems like they should be living their faith instead of practicing. I mean, nobody goes to school all of their lives. Do they?

I can't speak for other religions, but as a Christian Jesus taught us that we are part of God's family. Like any family we want to get together and share with each other. It's a desire, not a requirement
