Pregnant, has been miserable, have already been to ER twice. She said it's way worse than first two. Sickness, sore stomach and just miserable. Called hypo something and it's like morning sickness on crack, all the time. She's had 4 iv bags from the two visits and hasn't ate much. Got some new meds hopefully the help.

God the Father of the Judeo- Christian Bible is the engineer of the software. He communicated with his creation through major and minor prophets and then was silent for 400 years. In Malachi (the last book of the OT) it was told that God would send a messenger who would come that would pave the way for Christ. This messenger would be in the likeness of Elijah. The book of Mark identifies this preceding messenger as John the Baptist. In Luke, Jesus confirms that John the Baptist was the one fortold 400 years before. This is just one of all of the prophesies that have been fulfilled. One has to want to hear God before they can discern what he is saying in his word. He didn’t make this to difficult. He did tell us that there are mysteries that we would never comprehend. It is in our efforts to become God like that we miss the simple truth that he has already revealed to us. As and example, One guy in this thread said that he is his own God. Dig into his word and connect the dots. Measure prophesies against fulfillment. I do t discourage anyone from endeavoring to explore and marvel at the physical universe. God’s creation is fascinating but this thing is far beyond our ability to figure out....by design. If we could figure it out, than we would be equal to our creator. Maybe just open up your heart and mind to the God who has revealed himself to us and see how much more can be learned about the creator/creation relationship and have all of the fulfillment you can imagine.

“In the beginning was the word.....”

The Word of God has all of the truth you will ever need and then some. So much so that the exercise of trying to figure out the Universe becomes less important than figuring out his intended relationship with you individually.

How do we know which abrahamic religion is correct? The jews, the christians or the muslims? All 3 speak of prophets sent to us by 'god', yet all 3 disagree on who was the last prophet. Jews don't believe Jesus was the last prophet, while Christians do, and Muslims believe in Jesus, though they believe the last prophet sent to us is Muhammad.

So all 3 branches of the Abrahamic religion all believe in some prophet, but how do we know which one is more correct than the others? Or how about maybe that they are all 3 wrong and fictional tales written by primitives back thousands of years ago? It is also funny how people are so blindly following these stories, which I think shows the power of brainwashing. Dick Leverage, did you brainwashing of the christian religion start when you was a baby? I bet it did, and for most being brainwashed your whole life is hard to overcome, which is why most will stay in denial, which you seem to be.

Wat? Christians believe him to be the son of God, not a simple prophet. That's the muzzies only that think he was just a prophet

Jews don't either, so that is 2 out of 3 of the Abrahamic religions that don't view Jesus as the son of god. Yet somehow the christies are right?

Let’s not act like we have all done exhaustive research that justify our beliefs. The narrative that Christians are somehow mentally handicapped or follow blindly what a “ preacher says”. Humanism has “preachers” as well. They are educators who litter our public education system. Believe what you want but don’t pretend you aren’t taking someone word for it along the way. Typical humanistic arrogance.

Hey man, my views have been made pretty clear here. Do I put faith in Christianity? No. Do I believe Jesus was a God? No more than you or I.

But to say there isn't truth contained in the Bible is naive.

Which, btw, I was defending your views to the guy that was saying the Bible is bogus.

You're welcome.

Yeah it is bogus. Should we believe that a dude got swallowed by a whale and magically appeared days later to tell about it. Or the part where that one family rounded up two of every animal and keeping them alive on a boat for 40 days without eating each other. Or that one time where some carpenter feed 400 people with a loaf of bread and several fish. I get that some people are into fictional books written by primitive peoples but to take it as truth is just asinine. So what truth is found in the bible? You mean the basic morals that existed before christianity was ever founded, like not murdering, raping, pillaging your neighbors?

Woah bub. There is a big difference between taking a professional educators 'word' vs that of the preacher man. One is basing their 'word' off of the previous research done by those in the field to come up with our current understand of the universe/world that we live in, while the other bases their belief off some primitive people written thousands of years ago. One is based in the sciences and the other is based in lala land. Big time difference there gadawg.

Maybe you're not reading it properly. I'm not going to get into a debate on the individual merits a person can find within the Bible. They're there for someone who wants to find them.

At the same time, people on the pro-Jesus side do themselves a great disservice by thumbing their noses at science. They should embrace it in the confidence that at the end of the day, science is seeking God just the same as they are. They're just going about it a different way.

Same could be said of all the religions of the world fighting amongst themselves. It's dumb, and it's counterproductive.

If you're truly interested in knowing some of the hidden truths found in Scripture just stick around. I've seen a few of them floating around lately and maybe there'll be some more.

I’ve said this before, applies to both previous post. Science doesn’t say anything, scientist do. Scientist are humans with opinions/slants. Most are Godless and will interpret data through that lens. Don’t pretend the “primitive” people where somehow inferior. There is nothing new under the sun. Again arrogance based on pseudo intellectualism.
