Oh, I like rap too. I don't confine myself to any one type of music. I explore... except with country. I don't like it. At all.

One Republic =/= One Direction

Regardless, One Republic's lead singer is Ryan Tedder, which is definitely a reason to hate them.

This. I've only recently become aware of "One Direction".

That being said, what is wrong with Ryan Tedder?

I've always wondered this about old folks... like if their brains are just saturated, and they just can't cram anymore music in there. Like a lot of top 40 rap, is simply the same top 40 music that has always been, just rehashed. 4 chords and all that. Speaking of...

One of the greatest creations ever.

I like some newer music, thought the 2000's had some good music, as opposed to the crappy grunge crap of the 90's. Hip hop is nothing but, lets see how vulgar we can get away with on the radio and most of it is ripping off 80's songs, using the chorus' in the background. There's absolutely no originality in hip hop and no talent, imo. Anyone can spout vulgarities.

He's written and/or produced for just about every pop act in the industry and most of his work sounds the same. I don't care for his voice much, either. It's pretty weak.

One Republic has put out some pretty good pop/rock songs in the past, though.
