I couldn't agree more. Redneck bitches give the Commonwealth a very bad name.

It's a perfect state, and shouldn't be stained by southwest Virginia.

I'm in complete agreement. One of the four or five best states in the country if you cut if off right around Roanoke.

Very nice place indeed. In my younger days I loved the ladies of Virginia Beach.

Meh, my brother lives in Virginia Beach. It's nothing to brag about, but it's decent enough, and I like the ocean.

I'm more interested in the northern part of the state though.

Well, I'm from Alexandria but spent plenty of summers in Va Beach. The eastern part of the state is just amazing. With the history, the economy, the newly booming wine country, it's pretty great.

Is it weird that I actually like really, really hillbilly country and gangster rap? For some reason if I listen to country I want it to be redneck as hell, and if I listen to rap I want it to be gangster. It's weird.

Live long Hank III and RIP Eazy-E

God I'm weird.

90's rap will always be the greatest generation of rap. New stuff sucks. Beat seems more important than lyrics now. I'll take a simple beat and real words any day over the new crap. And old country is kind of the same. There is more emotion in it. No one I know agrees with me though. My GF thinks I'm mad because I will literally go from Zeppelin, to Bone thugs, to Merle Haggard lol. Drives her crazy I have such a weird range.

I'm kind of neutral on rap myself. Tend to lean towards the newer stuff, but I listen to it more for the beat than the lyrics (only time lyrics really matter to me is christian music, tbh).

Country for me? The newer, the better. Purists will hate me for that, but I like how today's country draws from such a wide range of influences. Fun to listen to.

I do love me some Chickadee aka Anna. Something about that girl, I guess you can take the boy out of Louisiana but you can't take the white trash out of the boy.

(and I'll fully admit she aint all there mentally as evidenced on the show a few times)
