Five billion years from now the sun will swell massively, destroying the entire earth and several other planets before becoming a white dwarf. Everything will be destroyed some day.
I think the US will change so dramatically over the next 50 years that it will be unrecognizable. The vision of it originally dreamt up by the Founding Fathers is already dead.
