I also was able to confirm that yes this school destroyed was a replacement for the one destroyed in 2011. I really hope this HAM operators are up and warning rescuers in Vilonia/Mayflower that more is on its ways.

This whole situation gets worse by the minute.

Another pic of the school:

And an unknown location in Vilonia:

Regarding Mayflower other than the aerial footage I can't find many photos (not quality ones anyway). However they got hit by an F4 and the few pics I've seen have been awful. Then there's this:

Vincent Morris ?@VincentMorris3 4h

Storm spotters say "Cars are upside down, bodies everywhere, major destruction, very bad." They say Mayflower, AR might be gone. #arwx

So far the Ark Gov. has confirmed at least 11 deaths from these storms.

Vilonia residents are also saying this is worse than 2011.

I'm hoping this next line gets on through AR/TN/Bama/ms before sun up (it won't) bc there's a ton of moisture in the atmosphere combined with a wind out of the south and add the sun heating up the air and we will be in a mess

I live in Jonesboro, we've got warnings and rotation just east in Lake City and east Paragould up to Cardwell, Missouri.

Yes its a radar indicated tornado but the VTI was up above 8 and it looked like a classic tornado on the radar

It's out of Jonesboro so you are good for now

The entire state of TN is listed as being under a severe tornado threat for the next few days. Should get to Memphis area before sunup. Nashville a little later and E. TN even later. Digging into the weather maps... E. TN has a very odd weather map to say the least (I know that's not much surprise if you know how wacky our weather is but still) - there's a red tornado speck just outside of Knoxville while the rest of E. TN (ALL of it) looks like it's due for heavy storms and is surrounded by more green projections despite the blanket severe thread. That red tornado speck looks close enough to have me worried for Tuesday in particular.

Plus this storm is so unpredictable it's hard to say where to look. EVERYONE in the Southeast should follow the map that shows all of us in the red/severe alert for tornadoes (every part of each state). It's just the safe thing to do for the next few days.

There are already flood warnings in several counties here and I bet I know more than one sport already flooded. The extra rain from all this coming down so fast is going do some severe damage and even if you escape the supercells - flash floods can kill.

Everyone in every part of our state needs to take precautions. Things are about to get bad even if we miss the super cells as with this amount of rain too many things can go with and we all know how the weather turns on a dime. If you have a smartphone you can download a weather alert system (maybe posters here can rec some - those who are better at only giving legit warnings instead of notifying you about everything).

RE Bammer and Miss...Bama looks like it's gonna get hit tomorrow but I didn't dig too much into their situation. Miss. should be on the look out too.

Hopefully Ark is out of the woods and the rest of us only deal with minor damage. That's my hope, my prayer for them but I do worry about W. TN too.

Peeps just need to read up on safety in different situations and be prepared to get in a ditch if they need to. Good luck and God bless everyone. No matter what happens I know we'll have one another's back.

Stay strong and never have too much pride to ask for help. We are all here to do what we can.

***ONE OTHER THING***
Remember to txt your friends/loved ones. Text messages can go through even when sat lines are down and some will keep the message on ques until the split second opening that enables a send. It's a very useful method to get in touch.

Good recap Prof

New tornado warning with Blytheville, AR being on the edge. Looks like if it continues on the same path Caruthersville will be next

Not to get all thirdlawson up in here, but after living through 4/27/11 and the aftermath, I get so angry reading posts - mostly on the OGOT - from people saying shite like "Aw, this is a big bust. That sucks." or posts about how "cool" it is.

I know I shouldn't let it bother me but....frick.

I bet all those poor people in Arky tonight WISH this forecast had been "a bust".

After living through it, I don't care if the forecasters are over cautious or ignorant people think they are "crying wolf" or whatever.

I appreciate the warnings and I would rather be overprepared for a tornado and nothing happen than underprepared and live through that again.

I hope all these warnings are "a bust" but if they aren't and the worst happens then it will save lives.

UGH - again, I know some internet idiots shouldn't bother me but after reading the reports of what happened in Arky tonight and knowing this shite is headed my way tomorrow, I think I'm just on edge.

Thank God I got my Valium script refilled last week.

Everyone stay safe tonight.

Growing up in Memphis we would usually get lucky with this kind of stuff because the river and the bluffs seem to have a way of killing off most of the tornado threat, but ever since that day my Freshman year this stuff scares the crap out of me.

I stuck around on campus about two extra weeks to help out wherever I could. The devastation was unbelievable.

Another tense day ahead for the Southeast. There's a vigerous squall line stretching through northern Arkansas into Mississippi all the way down through North La into Tx. This line should start to fade into the mid morning hours.

Watch these morning lines into the afternoon. While this is far from a certainty on how today will evolve, early afternoon yesterday saw a line of showers in northern Arkansas. The break in them was just to the north of Little Rock. So know where those boundaries are if you are in the area. They are sometimes want to focus long track supercells right along them to the south.

Be prepared my Dixie Alley folks and take heed in the SPC really backing off the doom and gloom for Tuesday.

I posted this on the OT but since the worst is outside of LA I thought it would be useful here. Hoping for the best for the rest of the SEC...

Today's outlook just released...15+% is very high for a tornado probability...be safe out there!
