The entire state of Arkansas is under a tornado watch, I don't think I've ever seen that before.

Should be, from what I've seen/heard.

The valley should be OK as well.

I'm going to be up most of the night, lol.

Eight confirmed fatalities in Arkansas so far. I'm sure they're in the Mayflower/Vilonia areas just south of Conway. Both were pretty much wiped out.

I'm no weather expert so help me out. Looking at this thing on radar it doesn't look like MS will get much at all except the very small tail of the system. Am I missing something?

yes, MS will get a lot today... it has a chance to be bad.. don't pay attention to what the radar shows now, these storms pop up over time, you're not gonna see it now..

It's still 81 degrees according to my mirror in my truck. I've been riding around shooting frogs for the past few hours. It's hot, high humidity, and a strong south wind.

It's gonna be bad in the delta tomorrow, the system just hasn't moved far enough east to pop up storms here yet. We are under a torcon of 7-8 for tomorrow.

Dreading tomorrow folks. I lived down in Mobile when the 2011 storms rolled through. My in laws lost everything from the Hackleburg tornado that ending up coming across Limestone County. Before my little girl was born I would be excited about tomorrow. Now, not so much.

Sorry if this has already been posted but I just saw this on twitter. Vilonia Intermediate (12 mil spent) and apparently never got a chance to open (it was slated for official completion June of this year):

I think so. And now this:

If you're a HAM operator or on an ADEM frequency, meteorologists are trying to warn VILONIA/MAYFLOWER RESCUERS of incoming storms. #ARwx
