843 PM CDT MON APR 28 2014

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN JACKSON HAS ISSUED A

* TORNADO WARNING FOR...
JASPER COUNTY IN EAST CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI...
SOUTHERN SMITH COUNTY IN CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI...

* UNTIL 945 PM CDT

* AT 843 PM CDT...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A
TORNADO WAS LOCATED 6 MILES NORTH OF MOUNT OLIVE...AND MOVING
NORTHEAST AT 45 MPH.

HAZARD...TORNADO AND QUARTER SIZE HAIL.

SOURCE...RADAR INDICATED ROTATION.

IMPACT...FLYING DEBRIS WILL BE DANGEROUS TO THOSE CAUGHT WITHOUT
SHELTER. MOBILE HOMES WILL BE DAMAGED OR DESTROYED. DAMAGE
TO ROOFS...WINDOWS AND VEHICLES WILL OCCUR. TREE DAMAGE IS
LIKELY.

* THIS DANGEROUS STORM WILL BE NEAR...
TAYLORSVILLE AROUND 855 PM CDT.
STRINGER AROUND 905 PM CDT.
BAY SPRINGS AROUND 910 PM CDT.
TURNERVILLE AROUND 915 PM CDT.
PAULDING AROUND 925 PM CDT.
ROSE HILL AROUND 935 PM CDT.

OTHER LOCATIONS IN THE WARNING INCLUDE SYLVARENA.

Debris signature near Jasper indicates possible tornado on the ground between Jasper and Cordova. Sipsey in danger, too
