Do the 26.2 folks laugh at you when they pass you by?

Do they make fun of you for not being able to go the distance?

I always think the same thing. I'm running my first 13.1 in NOLA in February, but won't be hanging a banner.

I have a strong urge to rip those off, though I never have or will.

Not sure why, because its a solid accomplishment. Feel the same about Honor Student stickers. I guess I don't like any bragging bumper stickers

I have one of these, but won't put it on my car. I completed a 13.1, but this sticker just cracked me up once so I had to order one. I might put it on my beer fridge in the garage.

I always thought the story of the greek running the 26 miles and dying at the end was a cautionary tale, meant to tell everyone "look, don't run this far, it's not good for you".

I have a 340.0 sticker on my back window because in 2010 and 2012 I completed a 340 mile ultra endurance marathon.

My sticker laughs at all other endurance stickers.

It took you two years? Damn dude, that really isn't worth bragging about.

It took me 76 hours in 2010. 10 hours less in 2012.

I tend to agree but my brother got a "If you outlaw guns, only criminals will have guns" sticker so I custom ordered one that says "If you outlaw throwing stars, only ninjas will have them."

Not because I am anti-gun, but just to poke him.

I think that's my problem. People seem to assume anyone gives a frick about their opinions or athletic accomplishments. It's just the " look at me" culture we live in.

"I can run a marathon, but for some reason am unable to merge at a reasonable rate of speed."

I think I'll start putting my latest max bench press on the back of my truck

Well them, drug dealers, pimps, thieves, murderers, most liquor store owners and probably a few million gang members.
