I've seen them but they just don't look very good. Unless you pour concrete and then lay the stuff over it, you'll have wrinkles that make it look bad.

Just make sure you keep all of your lawn equipment so people think you're that good. You could make up all sorts of stories about what you do to keep the lawn looking so good. Could be worth the comedy.

I think it's more like the field turf on football fields. only the backyard though bc it does look pretty weird.

I don't recall seeing one. Whenever we're in Tampa you usually see people just say frick it and throw decorative rocks out there.

Not sure your Bama friends will want to come over. Any time someone gets hurt they will blame it on your turf.

Buddy in Las Vegas had one. It was hotter than a 3 dicked dog in the summer.

Thought about it myself. Stuff is really expensive, I'm talking like $25K for half an acre. The kind I have seen doesn't look anything like football turf. It's longer, some of it has brown thatch underneath for a more natural appearance, and comes in different types (Bermuda, Rye, etc). Just too expensive right now, think the price could drop once it becomes more prevalent.

With water becoming a scare resource in areas, it's foolish not to have synethic. But that problem hasn't hit south yet, so it's proably still pretty rare.

There are a few of them down here in the Keys, mostly because crab grass sucks. It looks pretty nice, actually.
