Used to love it, but have to abstain now that I'm living the Keto/paleo life.

Doesn’t keto and paleo allow fish?
Just sushi rolls without the rice.
Or sashimi

First sushi I ever had was in Warner Robins, Ga. Go figure.

Yep. Used to be a picky eater, but eat just about anything now. Haven't been the one to suggest going to get sushi yet, but enjoy it every time I go, and stop to try whatever they have out at HEB at the time.

Did you know that most sushi comes from/originates from the island cluster formerly known as Nippon?

Sashimi is the real shite. Super white tuna, with lots of wasabi in the soy sauce.

My daughter eats the sushi from the local Publix. There isn't a place nearby that sells the good stuff though.

Fair warning... something like 60% or more of all "white tuna" sold at US Sushi restaurants is actually Escolar... which has varying degrees of toxicity, but the general rule of thumb is "more than 6 ounces will cause gastrointestinal distress"...

There used to be this place I went to that served a monkey brain roll that was wonderful. I'm not sure what all was in it. Something tempura fried (but just small bits of whatever it was for crunchiness) inside the rice roll with an eel sauce drizzled over top of it. It was fricking great. Unfortunately they went out of business.
Sushi is just the term for rice roll. Doesn't matter what's inside it. What people are thinking of when they have a raw fish roll is actually called seshimi.
It's some damn good food. Raw fish especially is absolutely wonderful for your health.

Sure. Breaded and deep-fried.
