Talk to anyone in law enforcement. They'll confirm that criminals prey on the weakest targets. Saying that is nonsense undermines any point you try to make concerning crime.

You said nothing, you got nothing in response. Your logic is to compare gun ownership to firecracker bannings.

Well, yeah. That's just natural instinct though.

Yes it is. And you can't see the obvious comparison.

Natural, and the easiest path to get what they want.

You digress. As expected, it's time for personal attacks, and continued lack of logical reasons for gun control excuses.
but firecrackers banned..
but nukes..
but mass killings...
Emotion. That's what you have for your arguments. And when you can't make headway, that emotion turns into insults.

So do you pack a parachute when you fly on an airplane? Will you not ride in cars that don't have airbags? Do you have someone taste your food at restaurants for you? I'm interested to know in what other facets of your life do you go to such extremes to protect yourself from imminent harm. Surely you wear a helmet while biking? And life vests at all times when on the water? You no doubt cab it home if you've had even a drop of alcohol...?
Your odds of being in a plane crash in your life are something like one in seven million. Your odds of being intentionally poisoned are almost nonexistent. Your odds of personally witnessing a home break in? 1/4. Your odds of being mugged are higher than that in some areas.
Most of the other things you listed are things many people actually do, so your point is moot.

I have a modest proposal: Legalize fat people hunting.
Do it just like deer season. High license fees would bring in tax revenue and aid our overburdened healthcare system.
Plus, people could get their need to kill out.

I'd also like to point out that M80's were never considered a protected right (at least to my knowledge)

Also all of those listed are things you can either choose, or not choose as we currently do with gun ownership.
Gun control laws, depending on the severity/degree of the specific law, would likely limit choices.

If the Gov't is sending in troops against citizens, then paychecks are probably the last thing on anyones mind. If you want to throw out a scenario, be open to all sides of it.
It's a ridiculous hypo to begin w/. The point remains, if your rationale for not restricting the ownership of firearms in any way is that it provides a deterrent against gov't overreach, then that same rationale would theoretically extend to the ownership of all kinds of weapons. Because for a country that spends 3/4's of a trillion annually on the military, a citizenry armed w/ only pistols and rifles isn't capable of providing a balanced deterrent. More and greater weapons are needed.

There are actually good arguments that can be made both ways, and none of them are in this thread

You literally did this exact thing just a few pages ago.
