Curious to ranters' status. Still remote here. Plan in place to return Sept 20 but...Now Jan 2022 with no specific date.

Up vote for back at workplace, down vote if still remote.

Agree. I can go in, to a mostly empty building, but why put 46 miles on vehicle with these gas prices. Our offices are 40% occupancy cap right now.

Going to be hard to part with my office assistant (puppy) when the day comes.

I work for a large healthcare organization in Atlanta in the foundation office. We’re back in the office (and have been for many months), but we can work remotely one day per week if we’d like.

Still mandatory WFH here. The return to the office has been pushed back three times already and now it's some time in January

I’ve worked from home for the last twelve years - sales. After COVID, company closed 90% of the actual office locations in the US so there is nowhere to go back to anyway. They set me up with a nice video unit for my home office, and it has been so much busier since COVID. I may never work in an office again.

I wouldn’t mind returning to less hours though. I am doubtful that happens anytime soon

I was at home from March 2020 to March 2021, and we are still required to wear masks when leaving our desks.

I’m ready to start seeing customers again face to face, but have already adapted my lifestyle for less time on the road. I don’t think I will ever travel more than 50% again because the customer has changed as well. Next week will be my third business trip in the last two years.

My wife owns her own business and works from home as well, so still have more social interaction than many

I was traveling 250+ days a year in the oilfield until a few months ago. Now I am working remote and it's incredible but I do miss working in the field some days.

We have an office, and I have an office at home. The only reason we keep the office open is to meet with clients. Everything else is from home. I do go in the field once or twice a week.

Not policy, just convenience. I’m one of the owners of the company and we are pretty laid back as far as employees go. Result oriented, as few stupid rules as possible.

I think you're right.

I've interviewed for several roles lately and all have had some remote option if they weren't fully remote.

It's also interesting how much of the hiring and training
process is done over Zoom, Teams, etc.

It's wild to me that there are corporations hiring and then fully training employees with no one from that company ever having personally met the new hire.

This whole thing has been fascinating to me, because the technology has been in place for quite a while.

It just took this type of event for us to make it more efficient and widespread.

I'm also curious to see what we stick with going forward. For example, I'm really digging curbside service at most restaurants. I hope that stays a thing.

I've been interviewing here and there, just seeing if I can find a better opportunity with the job market the way it is and it works great for that.

You don't have to dedicate so much time to driving to an office and sitting down with someone.

Just put on a nice shirt and talk to your webcam for 45 minutes or an hour.

Catfish farms have no work from home option

It’s 24/7 365 in this business.

When I retire I want to work outdoors, are you hiring?
