That wasn't the only thing that happened but when we moved in we made a leap of faith so to speak and were piss poor for a while
We are just now getting back up on our feet the last 2 yrs
I know one thing, I DAMN sure will be doing MUCH more research from now on before I buy a house

Seeing that happen would be enough reason for me to never do it again.

I'm waiting to hear back on a possible total career change/dream job I applied for in Tampa and I was pretty much told I had it if I applied so fingers are definitely crossed

Another scary moment of mine was when I was 10 and was riding bikes with my friend. We went by this trashy house and a woman told us to get in the van to help her look for her dog. We sped off and I called my dad and he went over there with his .9 and let her know what would happen if she ever did something like that again

Getting woken up in the middle of the night to the sound of mortar fire walking toward my unit's sleeping area at about 2AM. The first couple you kind of don't have time to think, but after the 12th or 13th hits and every one sounds closer, you start to get a little unwound.

Hitting plastic golf balls in my backyard and hit one into the woods. Went to get it and bent down and I see something strike extremely fast. It was a rattlesnake and it was just about 6 inches too far away to get me. So scary. i just backed away slowly. This was before I could drive and I was home alone. Also didn't have cell phones and power was out on the whole road. Probably would've died.

This for me too. Happened a few months ago.

In High School a bunch of us went mudding on the 4-wheelers. We came up to this fresh wheat field with about 6 inches of water on it due to a big rain. We get stupid and decide to tear it up. Last thing i remember was seeing the owner flying down the road shooting at us.
Another time a bunch of us rode into town to get some truck stop cinnamon rolls. 3 in the cab, 5 in the bed of the truck. Cops pull up across the street and due to the curfew we knew they would pull us over after watching us pile in the truck. 3 load up and go to a friends house close by and were supposed to come back and get us but the cop pulled them over and they never showed up. We run into 3 drunk mexicans whom we had never seen in our lives and ask them if we can bum a ride across the overpass and out of city limits. They agree, and we hop in. Those few minutes getting out of town were pretty scary since none of us knew if they would remember we were in the bed. They drop us off at a gas station that was run by a meth head. He comes out with a gun and luckily one of the guys whom had left pulled up and knew the guy thus preventing us from getting shot.
Its crazy when i look back at my life and realize how many times i probably should have ended up dead.

I have had some instances, in my life, where I could have died, but that is not the worst, by any means, of what was the scariest.
In the early 90's my family and I went to a local lake to swim, at a designated area. It was a beautiful Sunday.
My wife was laying out in the sun. My two daughters, Elizabeth about ten years old, Rebbecca going on five and myself were playing in the water. They are both good swimmers. After some time, I guess they were doing their own thing, at a depth they could stand up. I should have been sure of what they were up to.
Irresponsibly, I decided to swim out to the back of the swimming area, you know where the floats and cable define the perimeter. It was a pretty good ways.
When I reached the cable I turned around to look toward the beech. I saw both my daughters following me, struggling, they were within a couple of yards, they weren't going to make it.
They both were going under. I could see their heads and arms going under. I somehow, probably with Gods help, sprang from the cable and grabbed one of each of their arms, we made it back to shore. They were gasping for air, coughing and wheezing.
I was no hero, I was to blame for the situation. I was so scared.
A parents love for their children can only be understood by people who love their children so much that your life is insignificant, compared to the lives of your children
I still feel the same today, I cant express how that felt, My life would have not been anything worth having if it had not turned out as it did.
God Bless.
