Crawfish needs to be fresh and are only located in a certain region, this is not the same with the other two options(and save me the texas beef/fresh, yada, yada)

Plenty of crawfish in Bama baw

Alabama has more species of crayfish than any other state, and the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is making an extra effort to let people know about it. Of the roughly 400 known species of crayfish, at least 97 of them can be found in Alabama, said Traci Wood, habitat and species conservation coordinator for the ADCNR's Division of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries.

And there is no such thing as FedEX overnight delivery.

A good buddy of mine that was a LSU fan used to have a huge mess of Crawfish overnighted to UT at least a couple of times a year.

seafood is a much different animal than beef/pork. Regional issues with access to beef or pork don't really exist that much anymore.

for the most part food is based on supply.

There is not short supply of cattle anywhere in the regions we are discussing

Not really. If I am in Bama, and I have a choice between getting Crawfish Bisque or a hamburger, I am getting the burger. And I will have a way easier time finding burgers as well. However, that in no way leads to the conclusion a hamburger is better that bisque. It just means you limp dicks cant cook it, no offense of course

It doesn't mean that crawfish bisque is better either though.

the presence of cattle in alabama, or anywhere else in the south, doesnt come near the presence of cattle in texas. either from a total number standpoint, or a cultural standpoint. the presence of cattle in the state of texas has shaped much of the states cultural makeup dating back to its beginning. you really dont get that anywhere else

just like shrimping in the gulf region, or diving for crabs up in the north east, or produce out in pacific

And again, there is no shortage. the overall amount that is used to supply the rest of the country is nothing in this issue.

You are referring to things that are only found in specific regions, cattle is nothing like those...
