Actually it has more to do with Democrats loving the idea of taking my money and giving it to someone else. Redistribution of wealth or something like that.

Anyone who votes Moore is an absolute piece of dog shite.

Roe vs Wade isn't going away ever because the overwhelming majority of Republicans who are smart enough to get elected aren't against abortion. They just say it to shine the simpletons on.

Semantics.

Doug Jones. Still registered to vote in Alabama though I'm in Miami now. Been registered in AL whole life and have never changed it to FL.

Moore is shite. If I was a hardcore Dem I would vote for him though. He will pay Yuge dividends for them in next year's midterms, and in the 2020 election. He will be the face of the Republican party for the next 4 years and hard for the party to get away from. And his 1 seat isn't going to shift the Senate majority. I dems privately want Moore to win though they would never admit it.

and more importantly; they won't actually do anything about it one way or another

I am voting for Moore because:

1. I believe the revelations about him are mostly a smear campaign
2. I cannot allow Alabama to send someone to the Senate that will obstruct the things I really care about

lastly, I have said this many times, but...

all of the women that leveled accusations against him acknowledged that he took them home when asked; none claim that he forced himself on them

and we know that several of the accusations are false (banned from mall; yearbook girl)

he married a woman 14 years younger than him & is still married to her now (30+ years later) - his wife was actually classmates with one of the "accusers"

I don't like him on many levels; but the fact that he was looking for a wife amongst women younger than himself was not so uncommon at the time

RA'd to move to political board

I agree With this, but it's hard to get excited about Republican policies when best they can do is cut corprate taxes in half to stimulate an already booming economy with a 3.8% unemployment rate. The richest Americans are cu4ently sitting on hunreds of billions of dollars that they're not using using to increase wages or invest in new industry. Do you think giving them another trillion over the next 10 years, while blowing up the deficit and/or stripping average Americans of their saftey net, is going to change how they're doing business? Where's the fricking stimulus?!?!

fify

you're alright Jake, but I believe you need to ratchet down the rhetoric on this

IF this had been stuff that had been rumored or even alleged earlier in his career & not at the 11th hour of a potential power shift in the Senate election; then I could maybe get on board

at least 2 of the accusers have been discredited and debunked & the "mall ban" has also been credibly debunked by the only person with any real authority to speak on it

yearbook girl - proven liar, story debunked

mall ban - debunked

his wife - 14 years younger - still married = empirical evidence that he was not trolling children for kicks

I need more than what we have seen to vote a foot soldier for Schumer & Pelosi into the Senate

sorry

I'm going to add something to this.

As you note, there will be practically zero economic stimulus from the tax cuts and it will increase the national debt by at least 1.5 trillion, probably more as the 1.5 trillion does factor in some stimulus which may not happen at all considering we are at full employment for all practical purposes.

All that means is in a few years taxes will be raised and raised on individuals in all likelihood as our debt trajectory especially with the corporate tax cuts is approaching unsustainability (generally 130% of GDP according to most economists and we are at 105% now before the corporate cuts).

Mark my words, individuals will pay for these corporate cuts with interest beginning inside of 4 years from today.

Gains for the dems in '18 with a possible majority in the house. Complete domination in '20. 15% of the Republican Party will never allow themselves to be affiliated with the Party of Trump and Moore. If they're permanently lost then the GOP is dead. But hey that single Seat is worth it if we can put another trillion in the pockets of the wealthiest Americans over the next 10 years.

In principle I disagree with corpations paying any taxes, but we need to be realistic. I'm against socialized health care and I have it, it's a great and expensive luxury, and Americans including most Republicans want it. How are we going to pay for all this shite. Prayer?

It's not going to happwn

The economy is already better and this tax cut will make it even better

Republicans will make gains in the Senate in'20 but lose ground in the House, but not enough to lose control of the chamber

Trump will win reelection

Good Lord willing and the creek don't rise, I will be here to talk about it

It most certainly will not make the economy better in any significant way short term. It will cause the Fed to raise interest rates more than they would without it. And it most definitely will result in higher taxes in the future as corporate lobbiests will make sure the lower corporate rates stick.

Dems will retake the house with Moore and Trump as the face of the GOP, book that.

Lol. If he doesn't resign before his first term is over, Dems will bring articles of impeachment in the house in early 2019. Senate may not vote to convict though. Similar to clinton.

To much Fox and Breitbart by half. It is a fact that Moore chased teenagers, he may have done nothing illegal though. I don't know, but I do suspect he did. Doesn't matter. He will be a stain on the GOP for a generation. The Dems were smart to dump Conyers and Franken (who really didn't do anything terribly wrong other than be a jerk IMHO).

Stop ignoring reality, pay attention to how the pollitical and cultural winds are blowing nationally, where it counts, because you people are killing our party.
