If you are behind me, I will pay for your order and drive off with it.

Make you wait longer.

My wife is one....she is like a third world refugee who has never seen such a variety of food choices in her wildest dreams. And then, to add insult to injury, she thinks they really meant it back in the 70's when they told us to have it our way...everything is extra this, hold that, cut it in half, on the side.....and then, inevitably, she is shocked that her order is exactly the same as it is when everyone else buys the same shite....'cause they don't give a rats frick about your 'no onions"...they slinging burgers and fries....

When I go through the drive thru, everyone knows the rule is you can say one number, one drink and if I’m in a good mood one sauce.

About a month ago was at the Micky Ds drive thru for the grandkids. Long snaking double line that took at least 15 minutes....Hesitated MAYBE 5 seconds to pull forward & driver behind me honked. I really couldn’t believe it.

And last weekend I was at Walmart. You have to line up to even get in (controlled access) where I live, masks are mandated & it’s just not fun. So I get my stuff back in the car & didn’t see the cart corral. I pushed my cart carefully into another one that was straddling a handicapped area (yeah not smart but it did not prevent anyone from parking). This “guy” yells
at me “that’s not where the carts go”. Don’t remember what I said but this guy really acted like I committed a felony as I walked away

And every day I now see folks running lights, reckless driving and just being crazy & I just give them space.

See I admire that right there....and I would bet that after the first time not a one of them fight it any longer...they just accept it and move on.

folks who don't have a family and young bucks just married or even ones with a baby or dating their soul mate will think "what an arse...I'd never treat my family like that"....but they don't have any idea how hard it is out here on a Daddy.....the don't know the shite their soul mate and her litter of pups will do to grate on their daddy's nerves and ensure he dies earlier than he ought to so they can split up the loot quicker. How can a grown arse woman and a couple of kids more than 5 years old not recognize what fast food joint they are pulling into and know exactly what is offered and what they want???? Most likely the lot of them have been discussing WHERE they wanted to eat like the allied powers discussed whipping the Huns arse...I mean down to the minutiae.."I don't like this...I don't like that...their fries aint no good....their drinks taste funny....." No no...they know....they can cite you chapter and verse the virtues of every menu item at every drive through chain in every nation they have ever been in like chefs on the food network discussing a 7 course meal at a Michelin 3 star. They can remember down to the smallest detail any meal they ever ate at one of these places, details which they weaponize when battling over which hunk of ground beef, fried potato and fizzy water they desireteth at the current time...and then, when they are at the menu, they are fricking struck dumb....like a hog in Georgia at hog killing time when you can get them chittluns three pounds for a dime they have no idea what it is they want. It is a ploy to bedevil the soul of man.

Young bucks who ain't married fear the phrase "we need to talk" coming out of their partner's mouth. Young bucks ain't go any idea...."we need to talk" is an invitation to air your grievances....if she wants to talk by damn lets fricking talk!!! Nooooo…..the phrase that really strikes fear into the hearts of married men is "where do y'all wanna eat...." or its equally evil companion "what do y'all want to eat". That shite is a declaration of war and has killed as many men only it takes much longer and is far crueler....its so bad that an old boy in Athens Georgia opened a restaurant called "It Don't Matter" 'cause that is the first choice of EVERY woman on the planet when asked where she wants to eat....but oh brother you best believe it does indeed matter....

When I was a kid and we went on Vacation there were 5 of us in a 2 door Chevy Nova. Daddy would see to it that we left for Florida around midnight so all of us would shut the frick up and go to sleep while he smoked, drank beer, and fricked with the am radio trying to find a station that didn't play music of a certain ethnic persuasion and wasn't a damned preacher telling about the world ending any minute. Mama would have made sandwiches...peanut butter and either jelly, bananas or pineapple...after all, we were headed to the tropics, or what passed for the tropics to a bunch of white trash from west end Atlanta, and pineapples were EXOTIC. And knock off kool aid. That's what we ate the entire trip....with one seafood dinner at a local favorite which catered to tourists without a clue...and we fricking LIVED for that week.....we'd be packed up and ready at least 4 weeks out with planning that would have made Ghengis Khan ashamed of his efforts....we'd eat breakfast on the way at the Florida Welcome Center where they gave away orange juice...my kids have bitched and moaned about us spending $10K on a weekend trip...they'd feel like US Soldiers on the Bataan death march if they'd have gone on one of my family vacations when I was a kid.

This is inspiration for its own thread. I think many here can relate. I’ll start one later.

My parents go to was bologna in an ice chest. Seems like we had that for like 4 meals on our vacations. Some of my best memories are on those economy beach trips with my family though. Stayed at the Tiki House Motel in Pensacola. I'm sure some on here can remember that dive.

My wife wants to look over the entire menu, but then orders the same thing every time.

Next time casually reminder her, all the silly-fufu stuff (the not burgers) usually is from last shift change at best, and double that for the filet o fish.
