But many of them do. Some of them have different names for them, but Arabs from many parts of the world (including Pakistan and N. Africa) wear (in english) turbans.

But I am for consequences; and behavior like what's in that video can't be given a pass--particularly not at a school.
So far, it looks like OU is handling it as well as could be expected.
We've all done "stupid shite."
But stupid shite isn't the same thing as horribly racist shite.
It doesn't matter that they're 18- and 19-year-olds.
Or that they were victims of groupthink.
Or that the song has been sung for generations.
It's hate speech.
These kids are likely about to learn a very expensive lesson as a result of something that--even if generations old--has to be addressed.

To get this back on topic...
There's a lot more that goes into these fraternity situations than what the current students can control, and a huge issue I'm referencing is a bunch of old racist alumni that do all they can to impose their old racist ideals on the current students.
My fraternity at OM took our first black brother in the late 90s, and that In itself sounds bad if you are ignorant to the issue, but that was actually good compared to most schools in the south. We were advised against doing it but did anyway. Because of our decision, we lost all alumni support for years and it nearly killed the chapter.
We have several black members now and it is now been accepted with alumni, or the ones that are still racist just aren't involved anymore. Ole Miss has actually been progressive on this issue all things considered because IFC members have met together on this issue and made it clear that our school has had enough race related issues over the years and this doesn't need to be another one.
It is still not perfect, but we've made huge strides. It is still a much bigger issue at some other Deep South schools, and really most schools no matter where they are located in the country will have a chapter or two that is just like this.
It's gonna take a lot of these alumni do die off before it truly gets better, but as more of these type of videos get out it will start to make some serious changes. A lot of people just don't know how deep seeded this shite is across the country.

I have lived in the most racist environment that exists in this country today and this is the exact same shite that is spewed out of the mouths of the people that live there. BTW it is spewed by every race there.

I know some Mexican dudes from antioch TN who hate black folk more than any redneck I've ever met. It's strange.
