I work around here for nothing, but if I do a good job and have been good, the boss lady sleeps with me.

Me, I make more than I spend, but that would go up with more.

I pretty much get paid to do nothing.
I've worked a total of 5 minutes this month.
This was my work load this month:
Login to a server. Run 2 commands that generate 2 reports. Email the reports.

You might have only worked for 5 minutes, but you can bill for 50 hours.

None of us really work very much. The business basically runs itself. I don't really even need to do those reports, I could automate them easily.
I doubt anyone works more than an hour a month, I might be putting in the most time. For sure I do over the course of an entire year.
Most months are like this, but sometimes I work a good bit. If absolutely required in emergencies I will put in over 100 hours in a week, and have done so in the past. I don't get paid extra for that. But usually a "busy" month will be 10 or 20 hours. Meanwhile, everyone else just has the same easy workload regardless.
We haven't fired or hired anyone in 25 years.

You must work for the Post Office.

Truth. Other than maybe some of the drivers, I've never seen anyone that wasn't seriously considering getting dentures working for the Post Office. I'm not saying they are old.... no, wait, I am saying they are old.

To be fair, I think it's been about 20 years since I've heard about someone at the Post Office killing their coworkers, so their policies must be working.

I thought I had a good job but I now feel overworked. Congrats on winning in life.

Thanks. I'm not Joe Walsh, but I can't complain. I figure I get more than I deserve and that's enough to thank God daily.
