Gutsy effort on short rest after a taxing game on Sunday both emotionally and physically. This was a very challenging group. I'm proud of the team. Great accomplishment.

Looking ahead, whoever we get from H is beatable. Belgium have a ton if talent but haven't looked very good thus far. Should be able to work the wings well. Algeria is the most likely other option and they are much better than 4 yeara ago.

Happy we advanced. Hungry for more.

group of death, because we were in it

most traveled team in the tourny and buttfricked by having to play in the amazon and a day less of rest and we still get through.

So who can we play instead of Bradley?

It's infuriating how FIFA seems to screw with us some kind of way every 4 years.

Great effort against a really fricking good Germany team.

Nobody. He's been off form but he's by far our best option at the position.

If he starts playing like him, we have a dangerous team with the play of guys like Dempsey, Jones, and Johnson.

Not to mention the referee clearly having an anti-American slant.

Didn't get to watch today but just looked at the stats. How did we manage 0 shots on goal?

To expand on my last post...

Get Bradley on form and Altidore back. Where's our ceiling?

I think we can get passed Belgium but that's a tough task. Will need luck to at least not hate us.

Argentina would be even tougher in South America. Messi is playing fantastic. They're defense looks a little shakey though. It's not unthinkable we could shock them.

Just imagine a Mexico v United States semi-final.

Well he needs to get on form then. There's no telling how many times he has given the ball away in the last three games.

Jones doe.

I think I'm gonna buy a jersey and get his name on it.

He's quick. Really young too. He's going to be a key piece in four years. Needs experience and polish.

Jones has been fantastic though. Has made up for much of Bradley's problem.

if we cut out a 8 year old type clearance mistake and play like we did vs portugal we will be extremely hard to put out of the tourny. we are making some great counters and showing good possession at times.
