That's not in the New Testament.

38"You have heard that it was said, 'AN EYE FOR AN EYE, AND A TOOTH FOR A TOOTH.' 39"But I say to you, do not resist an evil person; but whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.… Matthew 5:38-39

Curious about this..

Well, he went from just God to the trinity.

IMO, the ten commandments went out the window when Jesus said, "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."

"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters."

There's God and the Holy Spirit in Genesis.

30 The words of Agur the son of Jakeh, his utterance. This man declared to Ithiel—to Ithiel and Ucal:
2 Surely I am more stupid than any man,
And do not have the understanding of a man.
3 I neither learned wisdom
Nor have knowledge of the Holy One.
4 Who has ascended

Proverbs, speaks of Jesus. There are also, many passages in Psalms that talks of Jesus.

7 I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

11 Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

I'm so confused

I've always been a big fan of Samuel L. Jackson.

So whenever Tbird says something strong, I try to add that in there.

Finally, someone who thinks like me.

Walk into a Starbucks.
Pick out rando.
Ask them to read the paragraph you agreed with.
Then you will have another person who thinks like you.

You do realize Jesus is still quoting the Tanakh when he says "love your neighbor as yourself" right?

And my .02, gun violence of this nature will not stop with gun control. But could be worse without proper gun control such as background checks.
we have a 3000 mile uncontrolled border with mexico. making guns harder to get legally just means you are infringing on the rights of law abiding citizens, and lining the pockets of criminals in the process. you will never stop guns from being available in this country to criminals, which is what this guy is. why do people think this is going to work? we see how well prohibition worked, and the war on drugs. gun control advocates seem to think that for someone intent on committing mass murder, making the gun illegal is going to be a deterrent. "im set on killing a bunch of people. What, i cant get the gun legally? Well i cant get one illegally cause that would be wrong. Guess ill go knit blankets for orphans instead".
